Got a £15 room booked for me and my fiance for New Years Eve, and just booked our favorite Seafood Restaurant around the corner too. All the hassle of New Years Eve planning has been sorted in 5 minutes. Usually we wait till the last minute and get stuck so this is great. Thank god for this site letting me know about the cheap rooms ! :j0

Just spent a night a Travelodge London City Road on Monday, to cheapen a birthday trip to London. The room cost £15, added breakfast for £6.
Room was clean and tidy - there was some noise from the road, but not enough to stop us dropping off within minutes of hitting our reasonably comfy bed. 3 year old also slept like a log.
I had only paid for 1 breakfast, but the lady on the door didn't bat an eyelid when I handed her the voucher and 3 of us walked in. Food was hot, if limited, and children always go ga ga when they see tiny boxes of cereal. I'd definitely book again!Best wins: Luxury weekend in Russia, family holiday to France, catered BBQ for 20, Selfridges shopping spree, jolly to Majorca, £1,000 See Tickets vouchers, £500 John Lewis vouchers, five-star weekend in Provence!

I'm looking to stay in the Covent Garden Travel Lodge on Sat 11th Feb 2012, the price is currently £108 saver rate, no other rates offered anymore. Is this likely to come down in price or offer other rates or is it likely it will just stay at that? Thanks to all those who post the comps0

Hi,
they might have another sale after the New Year if you hold on.
Does it have to be that particular hotel, as you could get one for half that price.0 -
Preferably that one, as I want to stay around Covent Garden. The problem I have is that I can't book train fares until the middle of November due to not being able to book until 12 weeks before travel so was going to leave booking hotel until then, but have been keeping an eye on the Travel Lodge site and the prices are rising. Thanks to all those who post the comps0

There will, as on previous sales, be one before the end of the year covering the period up to the end of March.
It doesn`t mean that hotel will be in the sale, especially a Saturday night.
£108 seems steep, even for a Saturday night, which are usually priced higher than the rest of the week anyway.
There could be a special event nearby, the nearest Saturday to Valentines or school half term or something theatre related.
The nearest TL after that is at Farringdon, which is only one mile away at £39-50.
I`d be inclined to go for that because it`s hard to see why they would make a big reduction from £108 at Covent Garden.0 -

I agree with everything above. There are umpteen TLs in central London, and whilst Cov Garden is probably the most central any of the others will suffice bearing in mind the excellent pubic transport until very late at night."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

I'm sure everyone's seen this but looks like the sale starts tomorrow:

I was actually already looking at Travelodge rooms for a trip to London in Feb and was considering it a good deal at £49 per night! I've not bought from the TL sales before so if anyone could advise me on a few things, I'd be really grateful:
Do I need to be there with my laptop at 5:30am, refreshing until the sale prices come up?
Are there normally a decent number of discounted rooms available in London?
Are there normally discounted rooms available in half term?0 -
It looks like another sleepless night is coming up for me. In previous sales I've got a few Saturday night rooms for a tenner, including London.
Their sale usually starts a few hours earlier than the announced 6 AM, to give their own employees a headstart I guess. So after 3 AM, I'll be ready!0 -
