Travelodge room sales discussion

We are looking at Travelodge or any hotel in or near Worthing for end of April, everything is so expensive and no offers on Travelodge and can't afford the £50 plus they want.
Any alternatives?0 -
Does anyone know roughly when the next travelodge sale will be?
I'm sure there used to be something on this site that listed all the dates of previous sales but I can't find it0 -

There used to be a pattern but the last couple of sales didn`t match it.
Last year there was one on the 5th March.

Wanting to go to Chester for a weekend - either one or two nights, to have a look at cheshire oaks and then a wander 'round the city. Ideally with drinks/meal out in Chester/other local town in the evening.
Can anyone recommend any good travelodges nearby with parking (don't mind if have to pay for parking!) but would obviously prefer free parking
TIA0 -
Chester Warrington Road has got free parking.
I haven`t stayed at it but it`s recently opened and may be one of the "innkeeper`s lodges" that TL have just acquired.
BTW there is an excellent bus service that runs every half hour between Chester and Liverpool which calls in at Cheshire Oaks.
The Eastham Wirral TL has a bus stop right outside it and it`s free parking also.0 -
The Eastham travelodge is pretty grotty, off a big roundabout and behind a little chef. I've stayed there on two separate occasions. We're just back from a trip to Chester/Cheshire Oaks and stayed at Bromborough which is pretty new. It was nice, free parking, over the road from a big hotel (we didn't go there) which had carvery etc and easy to get to Chester and Cheshire Oaks although I have no idea if there is public transport to either. The only downside is that one of you will have to drive back from Chester if you go for dinner/drinks.0

Just tried to access cheap travelodge rooms - page comes up "Travelodge Page under reconstruction". Went to room search and cheapest room is £42.50 - any updates on when we can access the cheap room deal please?:(0

The sale doesn''t (officially) start until 6am tomorrow morning. (Unofficially, past experience has been that sales rooms actually show some time in the small hours of the night....)
P.S. Why is this thread in the 'overseas travel' board rather than the UK one ?0 -
OK, I'm obviously a rookie at this Forum stuff but can anyone tell me how to access replies please? Got email notification that there was a response to my query but can only access 2009/10 forum posts. Tried going to last page then back again to first page but no luck.0
