hi all - talking of rushing around in boots today, i had hubby with me and he kept such a close distance to me that it reminded me of Seaniboy's security guard experience >:( I even tried to lose him a few times just to get some time to browse in peace for myself but to no effect so gonna have to return another day - lets hope I pick some bargains up to compensate a double trip

did however notice that anna sui sets from 13.33 though course they come with 500 pts via ad mag voucher and 30 squid spend bags another 250 pts.

never seen anything for gift sets on the advantage card machine. didnt get an opportunity to use the machine anyway yesterday the way i was hoarded round boots like a sheep having to run round at 100mph instead of getting to casuaully wander and browse.

I had something like this happen when I paid for a digital camera costing £59.99 with points - the till deducted another 500ish points off. Someone else mentioned something like this happening too. The cashier couldn't tell me why it happened and I was in no mood to argue

i did the impossible today

i went to boots and

came out empty handed

only went in as i was with my mum shopping for clothes and she wanted a gift set but didnt like the scent of the cheapest they had so walked out. i didnt need anything toiletry wise and have ate enough rubbish this week to not justify any more raisins and nuts but knowing me ill be back in on friday for more, naughty advantage_card

however my dad wants a dvd player and i want a tv and dvd combination for an anniversary present so im going to order both online tomorrow, shame theres only 10pc off codes and not any ones for extra points floating about sigh.

didnt get to see if the machine had changed for me, not that i can get some of the things on it with my flaming ethics anyway, sigh.

I bought a Hoover mini vaccum cleaner thingy in Boots the other day reduced from I can't remember how much to £25 - I remember it was a bargain, just forget the details.  Anyway, I decided to use points to pay for it.  At the till, it rang up 2500 points, then "points saver 851", total to pay in points 1649.

I went back to see if the discount was mentioned in the blurb by the hoover, but no, it said £25.00.  Never experienced special savers when paying by points - is it new, or have I just not been lucky before?

I got one too and this was reduced to £16.49, your store most probably didnt update their prices ;D ;D

Yep, I got exactly the same Hoover and paid with points and got it for 1649 points, too! Was very chuffed ;D But as someone has already said, they seem to do this when you redeem points against expensive things - whehey!

And the Hoover is very good too! Finally got last year's Cheerios from between the sofa cushions

i havent ordered my big electircal haul from boots.com yet, it was too dark and wet to go to the bank, sigh.

Also LOL at cheerios. This useful device was put to good use when my friend threw a jar of beetroot all over her sofa and carpet (accidentally ;D). I got a call for emergency aid and rushed round with the kitchen towels - threw some water over the stains and the hoover gadget sucked out the water complete with dye.

Advantage - looks like your missing nowt with the machines - offers on mine haven't changed since beginning of December

£5 skincare voucher should arrive with any orders over £10 that are now placed until end of Jan but its similar to the one previously that had all the wipes and hand cream out of stock in stores!

Guess it will be in store soon too, eh?

PS, this time I hear they've put a code on back of voucher so you can claim £5 off skincare online but I bet that gets rid of your 10% discount instead...sigh!
