There is a much more expensive version availble called MobiBlu DAH-1500. Its about £120 for a 1GB version, but you get FM radio and the ability to read chinese characters (if you want to, I do!). Quite a big hike in price I know. There's a newer version out too, a DAH-1500i which has 2GB and is USB2.0. That one's £160 though0

I just picked up a 512mb in Worthing Dixons (they also had stock of the 1gb version) if that's of any use to anyone0

To get an idea of just how many names this little digital audio player goes under, take a look at this page under the heading "1. Introduction : falling in love with a cube."0 -

Whilst out running I have listened to a portable cd player then a Mini-disc player then borrowed my sons I-Pod then a cheap mp3 player and now the Q-Be 1gb version. The Q-Be in my humble opinion is by far the best in terms of sound quality/volume/weight/ease of use and price. I LOVE IT !!!0

Just bought a 1GB model from White City Currys in Salford. Seems good so far. They had about 5 1GB models and quite a few 512k ones left.
Having had a look around the internet tonight, however, there is definitley another example of Rip Off Britain for all you Daily Mail readers out there. The US and Korean versions have USB2, up to 2GB capacity and surround sound.
I still think I've got a bargain mind. We'll just have to see how long it lasts. My previous 3 cheap MP3 players haven't made it past the 28 day shop return period before breaking so I haven't got much hope.0 -

I picked one of the 1Gb models up from Currys in Lincoln on Wednesday and I love it. It's certainly the best solid-state MP3 player I've owned so far. The sound is excellent, the equaliser actually functions as it should (with presets and custom user settings available), the display is sharp and bright, it boots up in a couple of seconds, the folder navigation is quick & easy, and it sports random play either within individual folders or across the whole device. Needless to say, the size is fantastic and it actually looks quite smart too. Comes with a little protective rubber casing, headphones (not tried them yet), and a decent manual for a change (compared to other solid-state players I've bought off eBay).
I can't comment on battery life yet, as I've not listened to it enough. The other disadvantage, as has been pointed out, is the in-built battery meaning you can't carry spares on the road. Another downside is that it's USB-1 rather than USB-2, so transferring 1Gb of files takes quite a while. For my requirements, though, it's very good value.
In case it's not been answered above, songs are transferred through a USB cable that plugs into the headphone socket; the same cable that charges the device.
If you can't find them at your local electrical store then there are plenty on eBay.0
