 Gutted or what!!
The family all chipped in and we got my daughter one for her birthday on 1st Jan from PC World. The 1gb version, sticker was £110 but shelf label £100. Didnt feel too comfortable forking out that sort of money for something so small too even though it wasnt all my money!!
Oh well, never mind. The money ive said from all the other info on this board make up for it i suppose.0 -

Was going to get one until the sales chump pointed out that you need USB to charge them so not much use when on hols abroad!
Has anyone any ideas how to get around this (except for the chumps reply of taking a laptop on holiday with you!).
Cheers

Won't something like this do?
USB Charger
After all USB voltage has got to be universal hasn't it?
Can someone tell me if the sound quality and battery life are any good for these?

Looks like it's unavailable on the PC World website0

Yep, any USB to mains adapter will do the job eg Apple make one (expensive though) for the iPod and I got one with my GPS receiver...
I picked one up from PC World this morning, but have just taken it back - sound quality was good, but it's not the version with FM radio and voice recording functionality. One other thing I wasn't so keen on was that the screen fits very little text on when browsing folders / titles.
The Q-Be is also known as the Mobiblu in the US - tried updating the Q-Be with the US firmware, but the software didn't detect the Q-Be...
It is a good bargain though and if I didn't already have an iPod I might have kept it...0 -

Have you got the receipt still ? can you not purchase another one, and return the new one with the full price receipt ?
A bit of a cheek but hey, we are trying to save money on this board.0 -

Yea anyone know if there's a UK support site or anywhere to get software downloads for this from, or are the drivers/software OK that come on the CD?
I've ordered one from Dixons and getting it delivered but always like to have the latest drivers etc if possible.
I'm not too worried about the small text but it could be a limitation for some, as long as the sound is good.
Does it come with headphones?0 -
Purchased this before Christmas as it is dinky and superb for £110. Unfortunately had to take it back as it only charges off USB and there is no compromise on it. Dixons initially refused a refund but when I pointed out that I wanted an mp3 that did not just charge off the computer when I purchased it the manager ran in the back! I asked if there was an adapter etc that would charge it but was informed point blank no.0
