I got one from PCW Aberdeen, they were really surprised about the price and were reluctant to let me have it at first (£39.99 for the 1Gb)! It works well and I see that there are some available with FM radio built-in as well, but these are not in PCW as far as I know.

Don't forget you need 3 hours charge to give you a (max) 10 hour playback. Mains charger not included.

Charged via computer USB port.....therefore charger is not needed.

Does anyone know how songs are transferred to the device? Does it use special software or does it just show up as an extra drive on your PC and you just drag and drop?
I'm just tempted if it's compatible as a USB drive with the Tevion car stereo I picked up a while ago....

just drag and drop, your pc should just see it as an additional hard drive.

  • Dixons has a splash on their home page saying clearance 1GB mp3 players from £39.99 - in store only...

They list the Q-be, Audiomove, Support and Logix players.

So it might be worth popping down to your local Dixons to see what they have on offer. But what are they making way for?

  • Just bagged one at the new PC World in Leeds. The assistant had no idea and I almost had to push him into checking the price. He gave me a funny look saying I must be mistaken, then the look on his face when I was proved right! He said they still had 5 in stock so may be worth going down if you work int he centre of Leeds. They scan at £44.99 when they are advertised at £109.
Giving up is easy...... just keep on trying!

Does anyone know how the other £39.99 1 GB models listed on the Dixons website compare to the Q-BE?
