I am also guilty of liking to use the toilet as soon as it has been cleaned, same with the shower. I love nothing better than scrubbing the shower til it sparkles knowing that I am going to get straight into it afterwards. it's just that feeling of knowing that you are using it at it's cleanest possible condition. like getting into freshly washed bed linen too. great feeling.

  • I use rags to clean the loo seat and just throw them away when I'm done. Apparently it's not good to use antibacterial wipes too much, as the bugs and germs can develop resistance to them over time.

Our bathroom gets very damp as it's poorly ventilated and dusty as the window is next to a main road. As a consequence every surface on one side of the bathroom gets dusty quickly.

I clean the toilet from the top down. First wipe the cistern and handle with Dunelm household bleach wipes. Then wipe the lid with toilet cleaner wipes. Then clean the seat with a second toilet cleaner wipe. Then clean the rim of the bowl with a wipe. Finally use lemon bleach around the rim and leave for 10 minutes before flushing.

Toilet brush has 1 inch of lemon bleach in the bottom of the pot to keep it sanitised.
