Leave the cup on the table,so what if it stays there forever more
when you make a decision to see how long it will stay there, carry it through
till you run out of cups, then go and buy some paper ones. But be consistent. Dont nag, just dont say anything. Let him get sick of it before you do.:rotfl:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

i also forgot to say that if my shift falls at tea time and i haven't made something for them to eat....instead of cooking...he takes the kids to his mams house!!!0

my boyfriend and I are 23 and have lived together for over 2 years, we do equal things, although only the things we like to do. However...this leaves the stuff we both dont like- i.e. hoovering and the dishes.
trust me, it will get to him, it's more a matter of who it gets to first- my boyfriend and I get annoyed with mess at roughly the same point, although if one snaps first it has been known the offening item goes in the bin- not very mse, but its worked in the past for speeding up his dish-doing-time!If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -

I try this tactic sometimes too but it definitely annoys me more than him so I end up lifting the things anyway. My husband was spoilt by his mother too and still does as little as he can get away with. It does come to a head every so often but I dont know if he can really be changed? I get accused of nagging too but its either that or I will go silently mad in my own head
Good luck OP and let me know if you get your OH to change his ways!0 -
Its not a question of men "helping" women, its all about surviving and living. Whether women were there or not men have to sort themselves out.
My OH does at least 50% although my hours are longer than his & I often get home late. He will always have the DW on, WM on, dinner on the go, dog walked, ironing put away etc etc. He does do somethings ( floors) which I never do I always clean BR, loo and deal with laundry & all shopping.
You have to be firm- why does he think he can get away with treating the woman hes meant to love like a slave? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
lynzpower - wow! my boyfriend would just wait until I get back, as he likes company before he does the housework- bless him. Although I think if I went away, he would leave the housework until the night before I got home... I wouldnt like to test the theory. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0
