Afternoon all! Off out 'early' this morning for DS's match - in Darley Dale
and
HE SCORED A HAT TRICK!
(they won 4-1)
Unfortunately as AF is here and making her presence felt I had to keep going to the loo so I did not see his second goal but did see his last which was a cracker. have rinsed what he wore because he was filthy as it rained...I will put in again tonight for a proper was with powder (on cheap rate)
flying wise - washing put away and former colleagues from the chemical works I used to work at (winks at Quillion) bumped into in Sainsbury's (and I wasn't 'spruced up' either - good job they were female :rotfl:)
Got some ironing to do then pack stuff for work...
Note to self - put towel in car for football matches...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Toots I have finished Fridays list
and all of the ironing is done - now that doesn't often happen here. I even fixed the hem on the trousers that have been lurking in the repairs pile for months.

Hi everyone - I have ironed and put away everything that isn't being worn by someone in the house! :T I'm no Valli but very happy with that.
Today we went for a lovely walk on top of the south downs - really really windy so cobwebs well and truly blown away. Naughty pizza for Sunday lunch and now will chill out in front of recorded episode of who do think you are.
Flying definitely helping house - looking much better for a Sunday afternoon.
Hugs to all who need them and thanks for all the smiles this week too xx0 -
But, I stopped off at a garden centre on the way home and bought some seed potatoes. I have a fancy to try my hand at growing them. Also picked up loads of seeds for stuff as well.
I shall now potter about indoors and set the potatoes off chitting by the light of the aerogarden.
i'm doing the same this year for the first time ever - my dad used to grow all our veg when i was little but i was never allowed to help - nobody was allowed near his leek trench. I've just spent the afternoon 'potting on' the seeds i planted a fortnight ago and i was hoping to get the back yard sorted ready for planting outside but the snow fairly came down here.
i hope everyone is doing ok or even better, i've been a bit down the last couple of days, i think its because my back is still playing up but we had grading for tae kwon do this morning which always leaves me on a high - the nerves and adrenalin should be bottled!
And i've finished my first baby jumper and started on the next:j :j - i'm doing the next size up this time, i hoping that as i've had a bit practice this one will be done in about the same length of time and hopefully by the end of lent i'll have 3 or 4 jumpers done.
take care - i'll not be back on until later tonight we're going to have dinner now ( at grading at lunchtime so having dinner at teatime)
see you all soon

Dh due round in a quarter of an hour and have done the ironing(AND put it all away
|) as think I will pop out and leave him to it. He can give them a bath. Hasn't done that since he left  He isn't amused as I told him he wasn't seeing the kids much. He has been away all weekend (again) which I don't mind (as it is nothing to do with me) but think he could have come round a little before 5 to see the children. Does any one think I am being unfair? Won't be offend if you do. It is just that I know that I would want to see my children for more than 2 hours over the weekend.
Not sure what I will do. may do some scrapbooking or maybe go round and see my niece.January Grocery 11/3740 -
s'funny mumofjusttwo (and I am NOT tarring all 'away' daddies with this brush) but some daddies seem to be able to put their kids second so very easily. My ex has, on quite a few occasions, announced 'he will be away' on a certain weekend and unable to see the kids - and never ever asks me if it's ok and it doesn't interfere with my plans...as if I sit in the house all day awaiting their return. Now they are older it's not so important of course ...
****now REALLY goes to look for those boots***
boots now drying outside:D

Wow! I have just collected one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jellephish-Design-Moodlamp/dp/B000FA4WXQ/
that was offered on freecycle. It's brand new and boxed, not even been put together yet. Fantastic for the children at work. Can't believe how much it was to start with!!
Really lucky that I was checking my emails as the offer came through and that they lived so close!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
