Hi ZCC72! I thought it was me! I sowed my broad beans this morning!
I had planned to go out in the garden this afternoon, but it came over very black - we had a heavy downpour too.
I'm here because I've left the planning etc until Sunday again and I'm suffering from brain death over what to do with Year 9...I have trawled all my usual websites etc, but am drawing a blank. I don't enjoy this group, as there are some very unpleasant and badly behaved individuals in it, and now they are choosing their options, I shall only probably have a few who are remotely interested. Ah well. I think I'll fall back on some kind of listening/reading exercise, as they are doing a First certificate (like half a GCSE) and it won't do them any harm.
Back to work...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Evening all i have s+w the kitchen and bathroom, cleaned the fish and the cats tray cleaned both toilets, made beds, swept and mopped the kitchen floor and baked.....choc and plain traybakes, cheese scones, twinks hobnobs (aprox 90) and a weetabix brownie, i have taken the pastry out to make pies and quiche tomorrow
still need to sort out a meal plan but snacks are done for all of next week  (well thats the idea) will most likely just sweep and mop the rest of the downstairs before i go to bed as the lo's are due home soon.x

At a time like this, you need making a lovely poster or watching a lovely film and lots of merits:T :T :T :TPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Valli - I know, you did put not all dads are useless, and I know that some absent parents are terrible, just trying to explain to MOJT just what has helped us to maintain contact - believe me it isn't the 'supportive' behaviour of their mother who treats them like chess pieces in her personal battle with their father. I know form things you have posted before that you don't do that, and that your ex is very casual in his approach to his children. There is some shocking statistic about the % who lose contact within a year, and some of that is obstructive parents with care, and some of it is absent parents who just don't care.
And posting links to Lakeland is very bad. I am sat on my hands now. Step away from the credit card....
Grrr, don't get me started, my errant ex-husband abandoned his 3 month old daughter with no forwarding address and has spent the last 6 years trying to evade the CSA    :mad:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Greenbee you are a lucky girl. I love Lakeland stuff, kitchen gadgets are my weakness. (as well as fresh cooked homemade bread and ds little face. Melted my heart the day he was born and 4 years later still doing it )

He has been away all weekend (again) which I don't mind (as it is nothing to do with me) but think he could have come round a little before 5 to see the children. Does any one think I am being unfair? Won't be offend if you do. It is just that I know that I would want to see my children for more than 2 hours over the weekend.
Not sure what I will do. may do some scrapbooking or maybe go round and see my niece.
One would imagine if he cared properly for them (ie more than for himself, like parents do), that he would at least try to see them for half of the time.
or am I being too harsh? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Greenbee - my aches today are more due to the onset of arthritis I think than anything else. Having looked at the possible side effects of having an epsom salt bath I think I'll give it a miss thanks! The joints are easier this evening - my knees are only creaking now when I get up and the hip pain is gone. I might start double dropping glucosamine...
And as to absent fathers etc. Some of you will recall that my exoh1 (the father of my son) got in touch after 20+ years out of the blue last summer. We've met up a couple of times and email every couple of weeks or so since then. Well, he's just invited DS on a fishing trip mid-April. DS has said he'll probably go. He's never been fishing before so it'll be an interesting experience for him and he'll have a chance to get to know his father after all these years.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Am applying for both, within the 4 options - hoping to stay within the SW, but prepared to move if needs be! The Citizenship course is only at a few centres, so choice is limited...I just need to sell myself really well on the application form. It is quite complicated, so I will need to phone on Monday to make sure I am doing it right!
Haven't flown today - visited friend, who has got an agent for her book :j which is really exciting! Got some of the hat knitted during the visit!
Hope all the Crufts bods had a great weekend,
Hugs to all.....
really exciting, can you offer something else with that? well obv law, but what about history or something you were good at at Alevel? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
