6900kwh electric, knew it'd be high. Just found a thingy online which said average house uses 3500kwh electric and 20500kwh gas.....so we use half the gas and double the electric
I do wonder what 'average' is based on. I know DPs hobbies take a lot of electric, we have 2 !!!!!!, washer is on a lot (I keep meaning to see what it is on average but the last 3 days I've done 14 loads and it's not all done as I didn't do any from Monday) then of course the TD in bad weather and DP uses the electric heater a lot, moaning he's cold all the time.....suppose if our gas usage is low and we've had a very cold winter maybe why it's cold hehe.
Swept everything from the floor and under the sofas (why noone picks up things I don't know!) into a large pile in the dining room, if I try to pick it all up from where it is I'll probably do some damage so I thought shovel it in there and use my grabber to sort what needs to be kept and what is rubbish...........
Rest of the list done apart from finding my tax disc and taking laundry upstairs, will take that next time I need the loo and hoping tax disc is under it.....
Oh just to be nosey, how many 'charity collection' requests (either bags or leaflets expecting you to use your own bags) do you get each week? This week we had 6, last week we had 8! This is average here, it drives me nuts. Some of course aren't even charities which bugs me, but seriously, I know my kids grow fast but not that fast! Oh and if you leave the empty bags outside as asked they don't collect it, so suppose it's free bin bags, but what a waste on their part!
Another HHC 14.15-14.45 I think so I can sort through this pile of junk (includes cables, toys, tools, wrappers/packets, books, DVDs etc etc) and fill more recycling bags....One day I might be more organised...........

My old knees were right. We had lovely sunshine this morning. I ended up taking the dog out of town to a pretty little village for a tramp about. Then the wind picked up and it poured with rain. Looks like it's going to be a bit of a wild afternoon.
But, I stopped off at a garden centre on the way home and bought some seed potatoes. I have a fancy to try my hand at growing them. Also picked up loads of seeds for stuff as well.
I shall now potter about indoors and set the potatoes off chitting by the light of the aerogarden.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

On the career change front, am feeling really positive, thanks to all your help. I have registered with GTTR, and am in the process of filling in the application. I have decided to go with Citizenship - the more I read, themore interesting it seems. The subject matter will constantly change, and it will be wonderful to contribute to society - perhaps more people will vote in years to come! (for politicians, not X factor!):rotfl: If I don't get in to my choices, then I am now prepared to go to clearing, and move if necessary. EBT will only be for a year or two.
That's really exciting news, huge good luck. Are you applying to do GTTP (on-the-job-training)?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Roast chicken and veg cooked , eaten and washed up.
Apple & pear crumble from yesterday for later on.
Whilst Chicken was roasting, went to local makret picked up 10 kgs of white spuds for £3, none look bruised.
Then I have been in my de sooted greenhouse and started to plant my seeds into tray, now run out of trays, so going to ask on my local freecycle, then off to buy some.

It has just finished snowing here, one minute it was raining & the next heavy snow.
Right, I've had my dinner had a quick look to see what everyone is doing, I'll now go back to the packing (I HATE PACKING & I hate the site of bubble wrap). I've just been in the loft & discovered I have another house up there!!!. I cannot believe the stuff I have kept, 'Just in case', I know I don't like throwing anything away but this is ridiculous. Right I'll stop moaning now & go & do something (not sure what). I have only managed level 1 all week, but never mind, there is always next week.

soappie - it's almost the same here.. was glorious this morning, now I need to put the light on inside and rain is battering against the windows!
I am shattered today, very pleased I'm off work tomorrow. All the flying I've managed is to amend the Mr T online shop, pick up a couple of bits from Mr S and hang up some laundry. Everywhere is pretty neat and clean though so i'm not going to worry.
Time for a cuppa I think, I'll put a wash on whilst I'm in there.... :coffee: anyone?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Yay!! I've just ordered Guitar Hero for the Wii

Special offer in HMV :j
My first lot of washing was dry before it started raining here! Chucked it down for a bit and is still very windy, but the sun is trying to come out again and it is brighter now. Second wash load will have to dry indoors though.
I've not done a lot of flying - tbh I just can't be bothered today
The bathroom and kitchen are fine as is my bedroom (I did dust it earlier). Maybe I'll have a look at my list and see if I can just do a little to get a star! "There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
