[STRIKE]Lil_me [/STRIKE] DUSTY most ready meals have instructions for D or E micros and a D is 800-850W. They are a boon to the housebound/elderly- we had one for my great aunt and uncle to heat the 'meals on wheels' in.
Main thing is heat them up on a plate - sometimes the packets go 'floppy' IYSWIM. But you should be able to get a reasonable one from a supermarket. Dials are harder to set precise times on, perhaps the other sort (name of which escapes me) would be better. I would also suggest a splatterguard for covering dishes if she is heating up soup etc - just to help keep it all clean.
They are also fantastic for custard, cheese sauce and scrambled egg which I make in a plastic microwaveable jug - mine was from the 'better' people who sell door to door IYSWIM - 'twas a gift.

Sorry - replied to wrong flylady!

Have done dinner. I experimented. I did onion, peppers (red and yellow) with mushrooms and cashew nuts in a stir fry along with chinese five spice, garlic, black pepper, soy sauce, a drop of white wine and, a first for me - half a fresh chilli chopped up. Then lobbed in some cooked rice and stirred it all up.

I think the chilli was too much! Either that, or I didn't cook it long enough. My tongue is now going 'arggghhh cool me down' at the moment.

I have washed up afterwards though so that's some flying done...
