ooh Sunnygirl - how lovely that you'll carry on growing your grandad's rhubarb.

I love rhubarb (I make jam with it) and when I brought mine here I left it to settle for about 2 years unpicked - paid dividends...it's VERY prolific!

And ***slaps own hand and blushes*** D phoned!

During phone call (think Nell McAndrew for the accent) I pointed out that (a) have paid their bills like a good girl despite their error
and (b) will go to ombudsman if not sorted within a week.

If sorted I will claim refund of interst plus costs for phone/letter (and a bouquet'd be nice - I'm sick of buying my own 'flahrs'.:rotfl:)

re arthritis - if I have one joint (index finger left hand) swollen (and has been for weeks) and painful should I go to the docs? I have a sneaky suspicion it's goint to be the onset of osteo...(I had a sort of rheumatoid once...)

I'm so sorry to hear the suicide stories. Depression is an awful illness - it makes people who have it believe that they are useless, worthless, will never be out of the emotional pain they are in, and that their friends and families will be better off without them. Please I hope it would help to remember that the depression killed them. Without that, they would not have died. So please don't think badly of them, any more than if they had had a heart attack or some other condition. I hope that thought might bring comfort to the girls.

I've got back from my course on stroke and arthritis. It was very interesting, but I spent most of it wanting to burst into tears. Kept it together tho and am home. Just had lunch and am going to spend the afternoon sleeping and reading my book. Still feel fragile. Feel like I'm going to burst with emotions.

Flying today has consisted of opening the window for 10 mins to let some fresh air in. It's the first time it's been open since September probably!

ROSEPINK Don`t know your story but big hugs anyway and please take that rest... Thanks for your comments and I could never feel badly towards suicides they are the victims too and the prey of depression

Thank you to phil, dusty, crafty, toots, greenbee and hex for the hand holding, and comfort vibes. They worked! Just felt shaky after an hour of treatment, and have been home drinking coffee and doodling on the internet till I felt better. That's the worst appointment over with I think, just three more to go...

    Huge hugs for pigpen's DS1's GF and freedom's DD's friend. I'll light a candle in a minute.

Okay, flying wise, I'm going to do the bathroom after some lunch.

Could you pass on the recipe please. My rhubarb is far from being ready to cultivate but will keep the recipe for when it is ready. The only thing I've ever made/had from rhubarb is crumble.

Thanks to all for the advice - I have been approached (in the past) about lecturing FE, but I was a victim of "The Black Dog" whilst in Law, so don't really feel capable - how can I enthuse others about a subject that makes me ill!

Whilst decluttering, I decided that I was not going to take No for an answer - I received a feedback sheet with the "sorry but no" letter, which (whilst positive) identified their areas of concern - and I will write to them to address their points. I don't know how they will take it, but they can only say no - again!

Unfortunately, too much flying left to do, so no time for !!!!!! (Van Dyke) today - curse of the procrastinator strikes again:o

Bathroom done, now off on a gibble hunt.....

    HHC 2.30 -3 anyone?
