  • Not sure if this has already had a mention yet but ... I have just tried my luck with Max Factor getting the free GWP when you spend £15 on Max Factor ... well I put one of the new false lash effect mascaras in my basket and added a glide on eyeliner and at first it came up to £14.xx (under £15 bracket), however, I still had 3 items in my basket - it had included the GWP. I thought I would try my luck adding something a little smaller to the basket so I added the kohl eyeliner to the mascara instead of the other more expensive liner and total comes to £12.39 and the GWP also appears in my basket.

So if you are interested then spend less than £15 to get the GWP free - not sure if this just works with the false lash effect mascara as it was £10.99 and at the moment there is an offer of £3.00 off so down to £7.99 this is probably why there is an error. I am off now to see if I can get the GWP with a more cheaper purchase?? HTH

    Back in about 3 days :) x

They have the putting sets in whoop whoop! :j Although to be fair it wasnt until today on here that i actually saw a picture of what they looked like so they have probably been there for ages and i've not noticed lol!! I bought a shaving foam with it for £1.49 so not sure if it would have gone through on its own.

Tried the sanctuary mini travel kits but werent sure which one was supposed to be cheap anyhoo i tried 2 and both were over £6. I also tried a GWP with a mini but he scanned it in first and it came up full price then he put through the mini and it remained full price so again not sure if he had done it the other way round it might have worked. Does anyone have a pic of the travel kit thats supposed be reduced?

Got a olay definity gwp with the cleanser scrub thing but just after i walked away the rep came back and was guarding the ailse like her life depended on it so was very lucky there!:j

My ACM vouchers were rubbish btw!

Ended up getting 4 perkies as split my shops for the first time ever and bought 2 clearance items and used the SS tills and they wnt through fine

Got 4 mini samples from the Clarins counter too!:j

Oh and got a 2 mini brag books on BOGOF but they werent advertised as being so.

So all in all quite pleased and do you know what helped? A list! Never done it like that before so really helped focus me.

    Hope that helps someone!

Oh and ps how do i get my name changed on here?

As it looks like you may have used your real name, never a good idea, abuse will change it for you. Email abuse @ moneysavingexpert.com with a few alternatives and why you want to change and they will fix it for you.
  • but I think if we just post, for example
"you can get a bottle of Givenchy perfume free, costs £64, but goes through with a box of pantie liners for 88p - HTH", we might just as well post

"you can get a bottle of Givenchy perfume free, costs £64, but goes through with a box of pantie liners for 88p - HTH"!!

Cos it'll be spotted by Mr B, sure as eggs is eggs!!

Evening all, totally agree SS. B4 i say owt, my evil twin with pmt is back, so am trying to bite my tongue at mo.( a lovely op sent me some herbal remedies but was unable to use them as they are contraindicated with breast feeding) . By the way thankyou for the pampers vouchers, you know who you are.
Also, thankyou to all of you who have swaped vouchers with me etc, have had a really traumatic last couple of weeks , so i do appologise if i have not been able to get back to, pls accept my thanks and gratitude. Also if i have offended anyone in anyway at all do pm me, communication is key, i am not a nasty person, but do have an absolutely terrible memory.:p

Bham bullring store had some Nc body polishers reduced to 61p no sel at all:eek:, they were the apple ones, loads left. Also some reduced eyeshadow brushes worked with perky. Not been able to find any extracts minis anywhere, only the mediteranean ones, are these the same thing:confused:.

Bham high st store was rubbish, all the gillette sets were full price as were the sanctuary sets. Am i right in saying that the gwp goes through free with any sanctuary purchase, or have i got it wrong ?(tia) There were some nc cupcakes, again no sel at all (is this a trend) but scanned at 61p so i got them all, sorry have a few births/ birthdays etc coming up this month.

Tried two mini stores , one in the station, nothing to bother with except dermabrasion kit by roc?? £14.xx if your looking ffor it. Also tried the store opposite tescos, nothing of interest, but old gwp for £6.50 the smally clutch, left them but there were 3 this morning if your going tomorrow.

Sorry about the long post, but bargain hunting aint easy.

    O/T

Took ss advice and went to clarins counter to ask for some help etc, lovely sa did skin consultation etc but no samples at the end of it, was a bit annoyed , but hey you cant win them all.
Had bad experince with tring to use maxfactor voucher, should have been straight forward, as no other offers were involved etc (ie gwp etc) Yet had a bit of a stand of with sa, stood my ground as she was spouting a load of rubbish, just kept repeating my point , she spoke to cs privately and wouldnt let me speak to them, eventhough i specifically asked too ( this really annoyed me)and apparently they agreed with her, but eventually a store manager gave me the voucher off. Told them i wasnt happy and would be ringing cs as they hadnt let me speak to them. So rang cs who were gobsmacked to say the least, especially as amount was for £2 and wasnt benefitting from any other offer. Told lovely guy, that my phone call was probably costing me more than the money off! So they are taking it up with store and getting back to me tomorrow, has anyone else had this problem when there is a gwp involved you cannot use vouchers? Cause i swear ive used my perkys 3 times and got gwps too:rolleyes:.
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

I love Bootsing but cant be bothered with all these different threads. Like the chatty posts when they are Boots related, can't abide glittery goodnights, and you have a PM. I think if we split things up we will loose a lot of what is good about this thread, the helpful, kind, interesting people. I realise there are one or two people who post on these sites for sympathy or attention and we would be alot better off without that, personal information should be only in PM or if you are deemed worthy enough, Facebook.

this seems to be felt by a few people on here lately....and we really shouldnt be made to feel as if we arent welcome in refugees...its for everyone to chat in isn't it??

The big difference between the 2 threads IMPO is when someone posts on grabbit, they just post.

Whereas in refugees, op often post and identify people by names with a personal message for each
    e.g:-

Mr Bloggs - How r the kids
Mrs Bungle - Are you well?
Mrs rainbow - sorry to hear etc
Miss zippy - Are you house trained yet

(Obviously these are only silly examples, not taken from real messages ;) )

I always feel sorry for the people who are posting and who are not addressed.

It is very nice for the group of friends who are chummy
but not nice for the people frozen out.

Now should I post this on refugees or grabbit :confused:... Only kidding... :D

I'm sure it was but this post in the Refugees thread didn't help, there is no "them and us" but if people don't feel comfortable posting on the Refugees thread then they won't be thrown off of this one either :D

It was lighthearted and although presumptious to say I would get my foot bitten off, I did, so it is lucky I can see the funny side of things :D
