    Evening all

I think that I have come across somebody who has asked to do a swap and failed to send what they promised in return...

This is the second time that this has happened to me...Im begining to loose faith....Im thinking we should start to publicly name and shame these people...who ruin the spirit of our board.

Im not a happy person as you can imagine.

    :(

    That is not good

Be careful though as I've had a gift go missing to one mse buddy and someone sent me something for charity hampers and it failed to turn up-so it may be down to the postal service not the poster?

Remember that we are not allowed to swap, nor even send gifts etc on mse. I admit I often send people gifts so i'm not really within the rules.

If you want to swap why not try bobsfreestuffforum or paidtoshop?

Bob's has a swap section and you get so many succesful swaps and you become a 'star swapper' so people know your trustworthy etc

Sorry to hear your 'bad luck' whether it was the swapper or postal service though x

I hope it gets sorted soon Pollsdolls...I havent posted for ages...although I read every day...and I would love to have somewhere to chat where I feel welcome, maybe we should all head over to the arms and use the refugees board for what it was originally set up for...a board to chat about our days in Boots...come on Sandra Scarlett...where are you...start us off

I would willingly do so, but I don't know what the format should be. I know I'm going to find it very difficult to just post a "shopping list" of my day out, and I love to read of other peeps exploits.

Surely, if we don't discuss potty training, leaving home after a row, messy eating etc on here (must stop describing my DH!) there's no need to complicate things with 2 boards - is there?

If it's felt necessary, then I assume Grabbit posts will just be something like:

Hi. Today I got xyz, couldn't get abc, but managed to find pqr. It costs £x. There's an ACM voucher for Newbie & Silly for 150 points when you buy skin cream.

    And that's it, is it?

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
to all Reading Bootsers... in the one not in the Oracle, they had Gillette Fusion Champions silver bags for £2.45, so I got two, bought some chewing gum and got a perkie... they have 3 razor blades, a posh shaver with a blade on and the gillette orange shaving foam/gel (cant remember which), this seemed good to me- there were around 4 others left when I was in there at 4pm, so if you're quick tomorrow morning, there might be some in.

there was also the usual naff clearence shelf and there were a few other bits and bobs with stickers on through out the store- no mention of the reduced price foundations from No7 though :(

Thanks for that, but I've PM'd the person in question and they have not bothered to reply...I think I can draw my own conclusions from that!

Oh well you put it down to experience...and move on!:o

Has anyone seen these reduced in the Norfolk/Cambridge area? Have seen them in Lynn (quite a few on the shelf) but scanning at full price on Saturday. Many thanks

Went to Boots in Llandudno today, got myself some bargains

Gillette Fusion Gift set in the silver bag £2.45 x 2
Boots aromatherapy gift set (has 4 small tubes of body wash) £1.99
Loreal Men Expert Daily Anti-Wrinkle Gift box £3.86 (this is not the same as the one in the bag) reduction on SEL

Also got Olay Regenerist cleansing scrub with free GWP

Paid for all these with points:j

Didn`t try the Palmolive 50p ACM vouchers as it would have still been 85p with both vouchers, I have stocked up a few of these when Asda had the 50p voucher in their mag so was getting them for 50p.

    Little suggestion if I may...

It seems we have a little confusion on the grabbit thread and refugees thread to exactally what should be posted where.

Maybe until Crazyposhgal and Glad decide between them the exact situation in regards to glitches, bargains, shopping lists and personal yabbering, we should carry on as before?

I think it may be best as there is obviously confusion and we are only on pg2 of grabbit and pg3 of the refugees. I dare to think how many confused posts there may be on both the threads by tommorow night! Plus we could fill pages with the 'i'm not sure where to post this' types of posts and of course the discussion of what should happen etc

So it could be an idea to keep the posts simple in the mean time, using red for glitches(we can hope!), using store names in the title if specific deals at one store etc to make it easier for everyone, as CPG has requested umpteen times :)

In the mean time if anyone fancies pointless yabbering you know where us gas bags are ;)

Thank you CPG for the lovely new thread x

As the title says, I'm very confused (and it does not take much these days) are we still posting on here as we were - but trying to keep the type of post that I am posting at present - at bay? There was a new thread for 'chat about anything' - now I can't find it

Are we meant to be on the Refugees thread?

I have only been a Bootsers on the boards since end of October last year and although I have looked in on the Refugees board a few times, I feel a bit like i'm intruding by reading that thread as everyone 'knows' each other so well :o.
That most probably seems very silly - but it's just how I feel. I'm gonna pop in over there now though and I'll see how it goes.

Well I'd love to know if my things first sent to Nuninge, I think, for charity bargains and then forwarded by Nuninge to you, for your baskets, ever got there?
