    hi sandra:A ,

just a wee update on my clarins samples hunt... i went to debenhams (my local doesn't have clarins - sorry for being off topic) and 'chatted' to the lovely clarins sa about my troublesome dry skin. She suggested some moisturiser @£30:eek: . I promptly replied 'i hope that u dont think that i am being cheeky, or questioning the effectiveness of that lovely moisturiser, but £30 is an awful lot of money to me..and i have tried almost every moisturuser that boots sells...is it possible for you to give me a small sample and if it proves better than the one i am currently using, i would gladly spend my money on it!!!!'

And IT WORKED...5 samples to try and one super happy 'cornflake'

I would never have done that before
And truth be told I miss you...
And truth be told I'm lying

The refugee thread was(As it was designed to be) full of chatty posts about the posters and their non-Boots experiences.

The new thread was supposed to take away what some deem to be chatty posts on this thread, but are still Boots related (Shopping lists, SA Experiences, etc), leaving this thread solely for the posting of new offers.

If there can only be this thread and the refugee thread then everyone might as well just keep posting in this one.

I think CPG's intention was to create Boots chats ONLY thread here but it looks like glad has has closed it before it began and re-opened refugees.

Refugees it not about Boots chat at all.

I had a PM of CPG sending me the link to the new thread, so I am puzzled. Hope to sort it out shortly.

I hope it gets sorted soon Pollsdolls...I havent posted for ages...although I read every day...and I would love to have somewhere to chat where I feel welcome, maybe we should all head over to the arms and use the refugees board for what it was originally set up for...a board to chat about our days in Boots...come on Sandra Scarlett...where are you...start us off

Good idea. A lot of the bargains and glitches are quite often swallowed up amaongst the chat here. Not that I am condoning the chat! But this argument raises its head quite often here. If everybody just used here to post glitches and Refugees for chat then any threads won't be under threat. Everyone will be happy..........hopefully! :D

I think it would help CPG out a great deal if everyone did that, as she has an impossible job anyway.

But I go over there, I may just get ... dot dot dot!!!!!! ;)24dghh4.gif

  • I hope I can throw in my opinion and not get flamed as I am an avid reader of this thread, but very rarely post.

I would also like to see the thread kept just for the bargains, like the Tesco thread. It would make life a lot easier for everybody. Posting on the Boots Refugees thread would be good, they seem a friendly crowd over there.

BTW, keeping on topic. White Rose Centre had some good reduced No7 today. Got a few things using the £5 vouchers and paid pennies :D
  • Was shocked today to see a Christmas No7 eye & brow set in B'ham Bullring - priced at £19.57

Was glad I got mine in the 75% - but still am shocked to see them trying to sell at full price - even at Christmas, they were on 3 4 2 - and there was a hand written note on it to say you can't use a perkie. ( didn't use the word perkie, obviously). Not sure how they can justify it.

I bought 3 of these yesterday and paid 97p each time so don't think it was a glitch as such, just one of those random reductions in certain stores. :)
Yesterday i bought 3 x gillette shaving foams, got 450 points back then got a s&g spray set, nc bath pillow (wish id known i needed 3 when it was 3 for 2 as ive bought 3 now in seperate transactions!) nc eye mask and botanics facial kit with my points. :)
Thanks for the new thread CPG. :)

I bought 4 gillette shave foams yesterday for 23p each and then drove 25 miles away to a different store 2day and they had the same gillette reduced aswell

Think you must be right just reduced in random stores.

Not sure where post as it is not exactly a glitch but just to let you know I have found something new ( It could be old news though ) so have posted on refugees until situ with chat thread sorted x
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

i haven't posted anything on here for ages so here goes-

no 7- the stay perfect foundation( all shades) all had reduced sels to £7, no clearance stickers on them
no 7- the foundation compacts all had £6.25 sels on them, all shades

thank god that no7 have brought back the mousse foundation, this was all i used and i was told it was discontinued a year ago when it disappeared off the shelves.

the honey bliscious body butter, bubble bath and shower gel all had reduced sels of £1.22.

    hope this helps somebody.

also olay definity scrub, £5 odds works for getting the gwp!, but no way is that gwp worth £35 where did they pluck that figure from?lol
my boots and tesco addictions are costing me a fortune
