If you remember a little while back the malteasers, revels etc big bags (£1.50ish) were no longer going through as part of the meal deal. Does anybody know if you can now?

The big bags of sweets don't go through - it has to be under 1.35 for it to go through as a snack  I miss the days when I could make myself sick with cheap haribo in the afternoon :rotfl: Creme egg multipacks work as they are 1.26 in my local store.

Oxford cornmarket: green flannel cupcakes SEL - 1.20ish (not seen these in here before, not sure what they would scan at), last-chance-to-buy no7 stand is back though - got a no grains exfoliater free with perkie; foundations £6-ish.

Couldn't check sanctaury display as store was a right mess with packets/baskets and paper everywhere. Looks like a stock shuffle.

I saw a Green Olay GWP box for a purchase of an Olay definity moisturiser on the Olay shelf - it looked very cute, but I really don't need any more face cream :)

using store names in the title if specific deals at one store etc to make it easier for everyone, as CPG has requested umpteen times :)......the above was quoted by another poster

....I wish everyone would do this, I find it frustrating that people are saying, I got this and this for this price but do not put which store, then you get people requesting which store was it at, therefore creating more posts. By the way I love to read everyones shopping lists, gives me ideas for when I go, Keep up the good work all you boots angels :A

The reason I don't quote stores is because I don't want Mr B identifying me from this thread. It is an open forum and people have caught out by Mr B in the past and their posts quoted. If you are aware that a certain is reduced, available on a glitch etc... it gives you a head start on the masses anyway. The chances are if you get the particular item in question price checked at your store and it is not reduced that it will be at some point in the very near future. Alternatively, ask via PM for the store, it is then upto the person posting wether they wish to divulge their location.

With regard to the current complaint running throughout the thread regarding chat, I wasn't going to comment but will as I actually feel quite strongly about...

Personally I love this thread the way it is, it rarely goes far OT and on the odd occassion that it does, I'm sure a friendly PM could resolve it. The chat hides the glitches to a degree which hopefully means that they last longer. Also, to be honest why should those that never post, yet seem to be the ones moaning about chat, benefit so easily from the glitches of those who do? Perhaps these people would like us to do their shopping for them? That way they have to make no effort what so ever!

I know a few of you subscribe to the Printable Money Off Coupons and Policies Thread. Exactly the same hoo haa took place over there and they had vote which showed that the majority of people wanted the thread to remain as a combination of both codes/vouchers and chat. Sadly that vote was ignored, so the thread became codes/vouchers only with the end result being that those chatted most frequently (who incidently posted the most codes etc) started not to post or to PM each other. Frankly I didn't blame them! The thread has now reverted to a combined chat and codes as it was obvious without the combination the thread was dying.

Sadly I can see the same thing happening here. So to those of you moaning about chat have a little think about how much you contribute to the thread and ask yourself if it wasn't for those regular poster who do chat, but also highlight many valid glitches and shopping combos what would this thread be without them? The answer is simple it wouldn't exist and so your glitches and bargains would be greatly reduced.

    Anyway, back on topic...

Went to Boots yesterday and came home with a bag full of goodies:

    Olay Definity Cleansing Scrub £5.65
    GWP £0.00

    Paid for with points

Gillette Sensitive Skin Shave Foam £0.97
    Gillette Putting Set £0.00
    L'oreal Hot Pink Bag £0.00
    No7 Powder Compact £5.15

Used Perkie, 250 points. Paid £1.12 gained 250 points

Did the above again but with No7 Stay Perfect Foundation £7, paid £2.97 received 250 points

Still can't get the Extracts vouchers to scan on the reduced stuff - not sure if it's me picking up the wrong stuff or if the SS has been programmed to require SA intervention

Anyway, sorry for the long winded rant, but it's how I feel and if the thread becomes no chat, then I don't think I will bother anymore - I'll just revert to lurking.:o

    Hi Need a break :)

Oh wonderful, is it the whole range that is on offer or just selected?

    Sometimes they just do sleepwear.

Ooh just had a thought I could combine the clothes with nappies, wipes etc and get the triple points on the baby event:j

(will have to tell OH he needs to do exra hours  )

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the clothes are excluded from the Triple Points Baby Event

Hmmm. Just checked my receipt from yesterday, and I was charged £3.34 for a reduced sandwich, a lucozade and a set of 3 eggs. It classed it as a lunch, but offered no reduction?

It was the sandwich wot did it!

Something in the way that the SA put the price reduction through, has caused the meal deal not to be recgonised. Reduced sarnies aren't much of a deal anyway if you're buying as part of a meal deal, as they still cost £2.99 (or £3.49 if you're in the city)

    Hi JT :)

People might think that they're not identifying themselves, but I can see occasions where they might be identifiable - especially where long and complicated posts are concerned, or where posters occasionally mention what store they'll be using and what type of pushchair they'll be pushing :) (That's not aimed at pushchair pushers btw, just an example :))

    )
    SNIPPED

Well anyone in London would spot me immediately, brandishing my Bus Pass, with my non existent eyebrows, bunion accommodating shoes, lop sided boobies, but incredible glossy hair (thanks to HE!) and a youthful complexion!! :rotfl:

I know a lot of people read the thread backwards, so just thought I'd echo what Bham Dave posted several pages ago. This thread has not been criticised by MSE at all, and there is no threat of it closing down.

There were mega probs on Refugees, and the old thread of that has been closed down, and a new one started. It has been suggested that there be no chat on this thread, just bald statements like "Canary Wharf. Exlax £3.47" and that we had a third thread for Boots related chat.

This, of course, would be like stopping oxygen for me, and lots of peeps have said in the earlier pages on this thread that they'd like things to stay as they are, and that the chatty type of chat (!) relating to a Boots visit, is fine.

Then the chat on Refugees, that is mostly amongst a group of friends that all know each other very well, should stay there, but there's absolutely nothing stopping anyone on this thread from going to Refugees and posting whatever they like.

Though lots of peeps on Grabbit, including me, have said they feel like they're intruding if they go on Refugees.

Just thought I'd post this cos I know I've logged on loads of times, found 20 pages to read, started to read backwards, and got very confused! HTH

Not sure about bedding, but i bought bibs and bogohp is on all mini mode clothes as far as i could tell, hth.

Regarding maltesers in meal deals , there are 3 different sizes and its the middle size usually on those plastic strip hangy things that are going through with meal deals, i did this thesterday , they are over £1 but cannot find receipt at mo, so check prices as you could get a shock at the till.
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)

thanks SS. I don't really want to stop posting, but all this talk of 2 threads is tiring. We keep going round and round in circles on this one:rolleyes: This thread would never work if the chat was taken away. If it ain't broke don't fix it:D

new H&B mags in sedley place and bond street:j

I got my very first putting set today. Thanks to the OP :A (jelly tots?) for the description. Once I knew what I was looking for, it was so easy to spot:D I will have a little play with it when I get home:rotfl:

I wombled 2 more perkies this morning. Nice and crisp sitting in a basket just waiting for me to take them home:)

    Hi Sally06,

So glad to see you back.. I for one wouldn't know what to look out for in our local if I didn't read your posts because I read your posts and then make a list from what you got before I go in hoping you've left me some....:D
For example... after I read your post last week re the med clearance stuff I went to the till armed with enough stuff to take my shop over £5 and earn another perkie and I got - No7 P&P foundation on clearance for £7,(many thanks to another local Bootser dee753 for the tip off) Med Orange Chamomile & Honey Body wash (200ml) on clearance for £1.99 and Extracts Cocoa Butter 75ml for £1.62 (used 150 points acm) which using my £5 No7 perkie should have brought my total to £5.61 and as you said Sally06 the till wll probably take more of cause it is on offer (I think we have stopped selling it in or store) and sure enough you were right - my total came to £4.94 - 6p short of getting another perkie so I had to go and grab some chewing gum behind me... It looks like the till took 1/3rd off (£1.32) which is what the offer is at the moment so it might be worth looking out foron the rest of the clearance med...
I saw a few Aquafresh and Colgate toothbrushes and macleans toothpaste with clearance stikers on and the same over priced stuff - veet, etc.. that I saw on Friday.. There was only two shades left of the foundation (buff and blonde).. No olay cleansers but plenty of GWP... I totally forgot to look for any new mags but I don't think they had any so you were lucky to get one in London ... I am hoping to get one to use the extracts voucher in it with the acm voucher if poss..
BTW I saw the manager in our local too - I thought he was leaving... or am I getting it wrong?
Just like to add that I'm not normally confident enough to post on forums and this is the only one I feel I won't get shot down in flames if I say anything a bit off topic. I love reading all the chat and shopping lists on here. It not only makes me smile when I've had a bad day but it has given me the courage to get enough glitches/bargains etc.. to build my wardrobe full of boots bargains that will be birthday/mothers day/teachers presents etc... for the rest of the year not only saving me lots of money but bringing more smiles to faces of the recipients (spelling!!) so thank you to all the regular and not so regular posters for helping me with this.. With all the upset at the moment on this board when I went into my local this morning it was with a heavy heart and not my usual enthusiasm that normally goes with me when I go in there and I know that if this thread was to change then I know I for one won't feel confident enough to post anymore and I won't enjoy reading it either (especially is sally06 isn't posting her shopping lists for me to copy:D !!) Sorry had to get it off my chest and I will now go back into hiding until someone tells me its all over...:o

Sorry :o I think I confused things there, what I meant was that clothes are excluded from the triple points, but they are still on bogohp- I think all the clothes are bogohp come to think of it :)
