Washing things didn't give extra points in store - no worries as I buy this stuff anyway, but it would have been oh-so-nice :D

well done on your fantastic shop, what do the lisa eldridge pallettes look like? and what boots was this?
If boots were a man, I’d be thinking “this is destiny”:p
    lol definitely!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi jtz, I've edited the post and now there's a link to the pic of lisa eldridge palette.
I didn't specify in the post which branch it is coz I'm afraid the SA has made a mistake and gave me everything at 50p, don't want to get him into trouble :rotfl:, but I sent you a pm with the location ;). Also the lady I mentioned had taken everything already so thought there's no point mentioning :o

They had the No7 eye and brow kit xmas gift set with 75% off at cardiff boots today for £4 .95 reduced form £20. with the heated eyelash curlers, mirror, mascara etc
They also had the bronzing kit for 12.00 reduced from £50 or something. but these had run out sorry as the ladies before me nabbed them all. Also the No7 makeup pallete the one which they had in the 75% sale for £17 aswell.(plenty in stock)
I purchased the No7 kit and the palette and the total was £22.00 however the sa didnt let me have the gwp although i spent over £18 because she said it was reduced. I told her that it didnt say on the gwp offer that you can't get it with reduced products and she said they have been instruced not to give it as this gwp promotion has been running before this offer blah blah. She was quite stern about it and harsh in her tone as if i was stealing it or something..I hadn't even picked it up I only asked.
This is puzzling to me because when I brought the same pallette for £35 reduced form £70 they happily gave the gwp then and there was no issue of it being reduced then!?

have to say I tutted really loudly when I read this!!! for goodness sakes you spent over £18 which is the only qualifier for the No7 GWP!!! makes me very cross! its ridiculous really it is!! and now I'm just tutting cos I don't live even remotely near cardiff in order to grab myself either of them!!!! :rotfl: oh how I wish I did - I seem to be fixating on these items now... :rotfl:
  • These are still £4.75 in the Boots near me, got plenty is stock too. I'll be getting them price checked next I am in there.... Brilliant shop BTW:j

snipped........ Lisa Eldridge palette that I’ve been after for a long time. Asked a male SA nearby how much was it. He said 50p without any hesitation. After 3 seconds of silence I said “what”, he repeated "50p". After seeing me not believing him, he said he scanned one yesterday and it was 50p, and to prove it he took it to the till and scanned it, mumbling “50p”, “override” etc etc and the till showed 50p. Do you think he’s overridden it just to prove he’s right?? :rotfl::rotfl:Anyway I’m not complaining. So went and got 3 of those and one foundation marked as £7.15, then he scanned everything into 50p!!!:eek:I was overwhelmed. Wanted to get more and make £5, so asked him can I go back and get more, he’s lovely and telling me “yeah, go ahead, not that I have anything else to do anyway”,:rotfl::rotfl: then left the till to fill his shelves and I went to get more, finally got

Lisa Eldrige palette 50p x 3 (pic on ebay here , not mine by the way)
    Ltd eye palette 50p x2
    No7 stay perfect foundation 50p x2
No7 black purse with mirror and brush in 50p x 3 (found a pic on ebay here , not mine again)
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

But found the lady whom I told the deal to had taken everything (there were at least 30 of the black purses)!!! She saw me coming back so talked to me “oh did you come back to get more, sorry I’ve taken all of them, it’s just too good deal”, “you are so greedy” just slipped out of my mouth:eek: . She’s laughing and said “well, you told me, so I blame you”. That’s why I didn’t post it here last week :o.

Mmmmmm, a decent Bootser would have offered to have shared them with you, shame some people have to be super greedy.

Anyway well done on your great find.:T

Have I missed something Passion, are you having a birthday too  Good work with the mens expert I may try that if I can find any reduced here, (Which I doubt )

Have two birthdays like the Queen you mean? I should coco :D Just a misquote ;)

Thanks re the Men's Expert thing, and good luck with it :) The last time I tried to use those vouchers, it wouldn't go through on anything lol. I even tried it on the Expert Men's shampoo ('cos it had a bloke's face on the front :D - which I pointed out to a SA lol) but it still wouldn't flaming work. In fact, it worked on nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. :rotfl:
jessie_yi - What a great post and an even greater shop :j Well done! :T

Was just going to post this but Amber you beat me to it!
Just to clarify, the No7 make up pallette which Amber mentioned, is the No7 Artist Complete Colour Collection, 75% off. For those who missed it during xmas, it's your chance to grab it :D, there are plenty of them there.
Regarding the No7 GWP, Cardiff branch staff are normally very fussy about it, especially the batch of staff working during lunch time and the ones working by the front entrance are even worse. Last year when I tried to use Mitchum voucher to get a pinkie tillspit, even after the till printed one the SA wouldn't give it to me. Also they make up their own rules and would question you using vouchers as well. So if you can, maybe try to go there after work. Those SAs are relatively nicer. Also there are many Olay purple GWPs, tried to get one from SS yesterday but the SA wouldn't let me even after it scanned as 0 icon9.gif

    Hi both,
Could I ask whereabouts the NO7 sets were please? I didn't see any yesterday but I did manage to get loads of Extracts minis and a couple of Vichy sets so I was v.pleased :)

Hi MissBailey, the No7 sets are right in front of the escalator, opposite to the till. You'll see them as soon as you enter. They were not there yesterday so you didn’t miss it. There were loads at lunch time.

You meant you found Vichy sets in cardiff queen street store? Where did you find them? I didn't see any yesterday . TIA

Visited Stockport Peel Centre this morning. Got 2 Reach toothbrushes for 37p each and 2 tubes of Macleans toothpaste for 43p each. Loads of the toothbrushes left along with tons of other toothpastes and some reduced sel mouthwashes. Nothing much on the clearance there. Spent my only purkie on a no7 nail varnish, and got another back.
Then on to Stockport Merseyway and there was a pretty big clearance section near the back. Loads of reduced Extracts tubs down to £3.00, some extracts tube things (not sure what was in them) for £1.50 (not bad if you have the mag points and acm points vouchers), tons of natural collection lip glosses, nail varnishes and eyeshadows down to 99p, nc lip & eye pencils for 50p, L'oreal true match foundations for £3, a few Elizabeth Arden bits (not sure how much), Model Me stuff down to £1.40 and loads of hairbrushes. Found 1 reduced No7 nail varnish, tried it with a purkie but computer said no. Bought a nc eye pencil (50p), Collection 2000 glittery eye crayon (75p) and a Collection 2000 dazzle dust post (75p). Sa was having a nightmare trying to scan them so gave up after the eye crayon and just chucked the dazzle dust into my bag!

Is it me or is bootsing less fun since these purkies are really restrictive on what you can buy?
