Snipped.......
SA refused to even try when i explained i had spent over £10 she informed me very loudly that i was already getting one packet of nappies for nothing due to the 342 and did i want itall free the sales assistant next to her started to snigger and it took all my energy not to break down in cry there and then (emotional wreck recently lol) i said i would leave them then and she replyed "ive seen you in here often trying to con the tills" at which my friend stepped in and said in a quite tone that i had recently started treatment for cancer and this was first shopping trip in boots since way before xmas, i feel so low now and upset that the behaviour of one lady can ruin what was being a positive step for me.
Her behaviour should not go unchallenged, especially the comment about conning the tills. I recently contacted CS about the SA ability to decide whether or not to accept a voucher based on whether they thought we were getting a product too cheap.
The outcome was that it clearly is not their decision. The SA opinions on how much you are paying should not come into it. They took my request seriously and asked if I wanted to make a complaint. As it happens I didn't, I just wanted to know were I stood for any future incidents
I already knew the answer before I rang, I just needed them to confirm it. I trust that this nasty episode will not cause you to much distress or affect your recovery. Take care now~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
Thanks everyone, I know it could have been worse but I feel terrible for him. Honest his screams will haunt me. You know the feeling you get when you go down a helter skelter or a dip inthe road? That's what I get when I think of it
I forgot there was lots of reductions on summer wear, flipflops £2.00, hats 50p - £1.00, glasses £3 and children's swimsuits £2.50 - Speedo I think?
Worth looking out for.
Oh your poor little one!! must've been awful! what a stressful day for you - no wonder you had a headache!! :shocked:0 -

I know thats no where as serious as what happened to you but i remember that awful feeling i had in the pit of my stomach at the time._pale_
I've been told to expect a "wonky" fingertip, I don't care as long as it heals and he regains feeling.
Needless to say every door in the house is now wedged open, couldn't find wedge's on Boot's :rotfl: so had to go to B&Q0 -

My hubby once left a bottle of sure roll on deodorant on the bathroom windowsill, the sun heated the bottle up and the rollerball flew out of it while he was shaving, hit a tile and cracked it. It went off like a gunshot and we both hit the deck - nearly wet ourselves laughing but it was a bit scary!!!
:rotfl: I'm sorry but that cracked me up :rotfl:
I do have accidental cover but I really don't want to ring and explain the situation:rolleyes:
I'm sat here rehearsing what to say because it sounds to bizarre.
Will ring tomorrow or maybe the day after:rotfl:0 -
Oh Rubyloo, thankgoodness you noticed before any other damage was done.
You should be able to make a claim if you have accidental damage cover.
After all we all pay enough for these policies, so they ought to help us out when we need it.:)
Fancy it being a boots mirror too. Make sure your DS finds it a new home...away from the window.
Teddy personally it's new home can be the blooming bin.
Just shown oh the new damage he couldn't believe how quick the new damage was done. Scary to think what could have happened. I feel so quilty to think I thought my DD was smoking and gave her a lecture_pale_ I need to do some serious grovelling :rotfl:0 -

Skip this if you dont want to hear my ramblings.
Evening all, wow what a day its been? Lolly, so sorry to hear about your bad experience, as others have said glad you rang cs and hope they do get back to you soon. Cant fathom why people choose to be nasty, takes so much energy and just brings everyone down. Moyilla quick thinking with the peas, hope your little one is ok and recovering from the shock. Well have results from Ds1 blood tests and have at least now got answers regarding his constant coughing etc , so feel a bit more in control, you know what they say "forewarned is forearmed". Had a Doh moment this am and left my keys at boots counter, didnt realise till i got home after food shopping, good job i dont live far. But on a better note, two of my lovely neighbours came round announcing as they knocked on the door "the Oaps are here" (one is 80 and the other is 70 wednesday" They had brought me a gorgeous flowering basket , for being a kind neighbour:kisses::o, I was so touched and when i protested that they shouldnt have , they told me not to answer back young lady, it really made my morning:D. The afternoon was hillarious as dh came back from hairdressers with highlights and a trendy new cut:rotfl:. Its growing on me though.
On topic good day bootsing, wombled four perkys in different places, never done it befor, but think i pulled it of:o. Managed to get some stay perfect foundation at £3.50 with perkies, got some purple glitter liner and blusher too, all free with perkies, so well pleased. Also managed to get some lovely ribbed wool tights (boutique) reduced to £3 normally £6 also on 342 and used acm 100points, sa was really pleased for me , saying they were very good quality. Got my delivery of sanctuary items , thanks for sharing everyone. Went back later without kids and got herrinbone knee high socks (boutique ) £1.50 reduced from £3 342 plus acm voucher 100 points. bought some other bits to make up my shops, so earned some more perkies, which hopefully i will use this weekend while away, love going to out of town boots, like being on holiday.
Sorry for the long post and o/t , thankyou all so much for your kind advioce and help, i feel like i have a lovely group of friends who understand my new obsession BOOTS.You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. (A.C)0 -
Lollyred1,
I have just read your post, that is disgusting how you were spoken to, that SA should be ashamed of herself tonight.
I know it is probably the furthest thing from your mind but if you feel up to it please write a letter to CS, detail the store etc at the very least she should be re-trained in how to do deal with customer's.
The more people who complain about unhelpful/unkind SA's perhaps MrB will take action.
I hope you feel better soon and keep on with Boot's, if your confidence is knocked make sure you take your friend along for support xx0 -
I got my .com order today of the sanctuary gwp I love it, thanks op
