well i have taken your advise and contacted cs they were very kind and helpful 20mins later manager from store called me to apologise and let me know they will be looking into it and she will get back to me on Monday. i think im in shock still more than anything else but luckily its not the boots which is closest to me so i can still go lol
Thank you for all your kind words and support xx
Hi lollyred, and good on you for ringing CS as quickly as you did. I hope the outcome results in a huge apology, (and more) to yourself, and a severe reprimand (and worse) to those who, from where I'm sitting, should think themselves lucky they have a job at all.
Should the manageress, or HO, mention the fact that you've posted about it on a forum, and therefore 'compromised' any reward you may get, then let them read this thread. It's obvious from the posters who have posted, and the people who have thanked them, that some of us are prepared to 'speak with our feet' by shopping elsewhere. Who wants to patronise a company whose staff, albeit a very small number of them, treats customers as shabbily as some of theirs do?
Your post made me feel guilty too, because yet again I'd spent half a day in various Boots stores, and had excellent service. I wanted to pick you up and take you to Monk's Cross, where the service is second to none. Or Kingswood, where, even if everything doubled in price, and they removed the clearance forever, (did I just say that?) would still be a pleasure to shop in. I can walk around there for an hour at least, buy nothing, and still feel I've had a good day's 'Bootsing'. That's how friendly they are. It's made me think that perhaps I should email CS more, and praise these SAs and their managers. Maybe we all should.
I've got my own demon SAs btw, but I'll tell you about them another day, so that the thread can move on. But well done yet again on taking that second positive step. Good luck and best wishes. xxx
Be back later, when, I hope, I'll be on-topicOff to hit the thanks button first though

My hubby once left a bottle of sure roll on deodorant on the bathroom windowsill, the sun heated the bottle up and the rollerball flew out of it while he was shaving, hit a tile and cracked it. It went off like a gunshot and we both hit the deck - nearly wet ourselves laughing but it was a bit scary!!!
Thank you for making me laugh jamsandwich.... I needed it0 -
could you tell us which boots it is please?Need_a_break wrote: »Skip this if you dont want to hear my ramblings.
Evening all, wow what a day its been? Lolly, so sorry to hear about your bad experience, as others have said glad you rang cs and hope they do get back to you soon. Cant fathom why people choose to be nasty, takes so much energy and just brings everyone down. Moyilla quick thinking with the peas, hope your little one is ok and recovering from the shock. Well have results from Ds1 blood tests and have at least now got answers regarding his constant coughing etc , so feel a bit more in control, you know what they say "forewarned is forearmed". Had a Doh moment this am and left my keys at boots counter, didnt realise till i got home after food shopping, good job i dont live far. But on a better note, two of my lovely neighbours came round announcing as they knocked on the door "the Oaps are here" (one is 80 and the other is 70 wednesday" They had brought me a gorgeous flowering basket , for being a kind neighbour:kisses::o, I was so touched and when i protested that they shouldnt have , they told me not to answer back young lady, it really made my morning:D. The afternoon was hillarious as dh came back from hairdressers with highlights and a trendy new cut:rotfl:. Its growing on me though.
On topic good day bootsing, wombled four perkys in different places, never done it befor, but think i pulled it of:o. Managed to get some stay perfect foundation at £3.50 with perkies, got some purple glitter liner and blusher too, all free with perkies, so well pleased. Also managed to get some lovely ribbed wool tights (boutique) reduced to £3 normally £6 also on 342 and used acm 100points, sa was really pleased for me , saying they were very good quality. Got my delivery of sanctuary items , thanks for sharing everyone. Went back later without kids and got herrinbone knee high socks (boutique ) £1.50 reduced from £3 342 plus acm voucher 100 points. bought some other bits to make up my shops, so earned some more perkies, which hopefully i will use this weekend while away, love going to out of town boots, like being on holiday.
Sorry for the long post and o/t , thankyou all so much for your kind advioce and help, i feel like i have a lovely group of friends who understand my new obsession BOOTS.0 -
Teddy personally it's new home can be the blooming bin.
Just shown oh the new damage he couldn't believe how quick the new damage was done. Scary to think what could have happened. I feel so quilty to think I thought my DD was smoking and gave her a lecture_pale_ I need to do some serious grovelling :rotfl:
Do you mean some sort of guilt ridden shopping trip where you give in and buy your DD (or in my case DS)
all those expensive, over priced, goodies, that you would normally never consider letting them have.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Once they have emptied your purse...and you have said sorrythey tell you that the ATM is near by....
and that there is one more thing that they reaaaally want/ need/ can't live without!!!:D
Need a break...lucky you, 4 perkies :T I have never manged to womble anything!
Princess83...glad you got your .com gwp's.0 -
Rubylou - the exact same thing happened in this house too!!!!!
The trim on my DD's window frame had a massive brown mark on it - and when my OH went to wipe it clean, he realised that it was burnt!
He realised what had happened - and now we are careful where we leave our mirrors! (I leave mine on the floor!)
Just to let you know - we asked the people who had fitted our windows to replace the damaged bit - and they did it free of charge!;)
 Minx
Some mate you are;) If you had told me this earlier I wouldn't have a burnt window frame and seal. It's all your fault!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Windows fitted when we moved in so that won't happen boohoo.0 -

I have been hanging on to these vouchers for ages, in the vain hope that I will find some reduced stock and be able to use them.
The irony is...that before the ACM vouchers were out (of course!)
I saw loads of reduced tights etc at Westfield, in a great big bin near the tills.
They were all really cheap 25p/ 50 p each and on BOGOF!
Of course we understand your obsession with Boots ...coz we all suffer from it too.0 -
