we've had three 2nd viewings over the last week (house been on the market for nearly two weeks now) and still nothing
. The first ones want to run through their figures, the second one is waiting on his friend to come back from holiday and the third are "still thinking about it" - what do I have to do? The house is clean, tidy, neutral and nothing needs doing. We've been told we have a beautiful house and it's a credit to us although we're near the train line which is our stumbling block. I know it's still early days but after these 2nd viewings, thought something positive may have happened? Feeling very disheartened.....

I'm also feeling very disheartened so know what you're going through! Our house has been on market for just under a month. We have had one offer which we didn't accept last week and the buyer says he won't go higher. Since then we've had no viewings at all. Someone on this board said that having people view your house but not offer is like going for job interviews and always getting turned down. It's awful! What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!
DFD - WAS: a while ago
NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Well, at least you're getting viewers. Put my house on the market a few years ago. Six months later - ZERO viewers. When the house down the street sold for 10k more than my asking price, I gave up.0

Don't be too discouraged-it really is early days yet. I looked at about 2 dozen houses before making an offer on mine - it wasn't that there was anything badly wrong with all of the others I viewed- they just weren't right for me. Keep the house looking lovely and someone will fall in love with it soon....
Good luck!0 -
thank you. I just really thought the last couple on their 2nd viewing would want it. They spent quite a long time looking around but have told the EA they want to do a bit more research (they're moving out of their area so I do understand). Maybe people just dont put in offers as soon as they've viewed somewhere :think:0

We saw a house in early May, druing the viewing we saw a picture of the owners wedding, showing the date of June 1st, we waited untill then to offer, amazingly  they said yes,

Its the biggest purchase they will make so time and thought at the start saves a lot of heartache later

did you not wonder why it was still on the market 3 months later? I always think that if houses have been sitting around for a bit then perhaps something's wrong? But I guess it could be just a case of right buyer for the right house0 -
Maybe ask a good friend to come and look round your house as a potential buyer, and ask if there's anything small they would change to make it more appealing?Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

from the feedback received it's been the trainline (which I cant do anything about
) The garden is also looking a little tired from the winter (lack of leaves and grass) but hopefully this will all start to grow in the spring 0
