I use it too, got a sewing machine off freecycle plus given away few plants that had grown too big for garden.

Is it me or is the site a US site? There don't appear to be any groups listed for the UK

The site was started in US so has an American 'feel' to it. But if you look in the blue-shaded box on the left then 4th country down is United Kingdom. Click on the link and it lists UK freecycle organisations by local authority area.

    Good luck!

I've tried to join my local group twice now, but no-one ever gets back to me, so sadly I've had o give up.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

freecycle is probably good for getting rid if stuff, but if like me you hope to pick up some decent things for free dont get ur hopes up. My local forum regularly gives away worn out beds, couches soiled by dogs, old underwear (i wish i was making this up) and VHS videos from a decade ago.

    MESSAGE FROM BOARD GUIDE

I have merged all the freecycle posts into this one. If we can try and keep them all to one place that will be great. I will start a new thread periodically a bit like the pigsback thread.

This has been done to stop numerous posts about freecycle being started up and cluttering the boards up.

    Many Thanks
