I joined this forum because I've been reading it for a while, and I followed the advice on here about rating as I see fit and not just rating everything as very useful and not writing reviews but not reading.
Now I wished I hadn't bothered  Clearly that advice is wrong, so people should be warned not to take notice of this thread.
My advice to anyone joining up would be to just write and not bother reading, you will still get your money from Dooyoo and won't have to put up with nasty emails.
Well I think it's sad that you are letting one bad experience colour your judgement of the site.
The vast majority of members do behave as set out in this thread and others and you will miss out on a lot if you don't read and rate other members, which is a shame.0 -
I agree with Cheap Charlie, don't let one experience put you off, there are a lot of great people on the site, and a lot of people that will help you with improving your reviews.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0

I took Cheap Charlies advice and reported it to Dooyoo, who have done absolutely nothing and not even bothered to reply.
As she promised I've also received abusive messages off her buddies.
Not a one off then like Cheap Charlie and Fiver29 say.
So beware newbies, if your not in the click clique you will get loads of abuse0 -
That's absolutely disgusting behaviour, are these people meant to be adults. Is there no way you can block messages, I thought I read somewhere that you could do this.0

Dooyoo do not reply immediately to abuse reports but they do deal with them.
I would add that I didn't say it's a one-off - it does happen but is a rarity.
Keep reporting any further abusive behaviour and don't rise to the bait - ignore them.0 -

Yes, you can block people from sending you messages - use the red "no entry" sign to do this.
And I absolutely agree that it is disgusting behaviour and I believe it is an abuse of the facility that dooyoo offer members.0 -
It is disgusting behaviour and established members are just as likely to get this kind of abuse as new members. It's unfortunate that some members do react quite agressively if you don't rate them as very useful. You say you've been following this thread, if you really have been you would know that this was the case. We have discussed a number of times the abuse that people who rate honestly get. That doesn't mean that rating honestly isn't the right thing to do.
You would also know that dooyoo do take time to respond to complaints. Sometmes up to a week.
Maybe you just happen to have missed those pages where we were discussing that.0 -
Terry, I think you should wait and see what dooyoo say when they get back to you and block them from sending anymore messages to you. They're just random people on a website, they mean nothing to you so try not to let them get to you, they are just not worth the hassle.
Like I said before, i've only been on a few days and I am loving it so you might learn to enjoy it too once this has all blown over:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Dooyoo will not do anything if the abuse has happened via PM. I've reported abusive PM's before and been told that dooyoo cannot do anything about PMs and that I should just block them.0

i started on dooyoo last year, and to be honest i hadnt done any reviews for a long time, but now i have started doing some reviews, but i am all confused..lol...( doesnt take alot..lol.)
