Another no spend day for me today, my banana bread was a waste of time with the kids they dont like it !!!!!! so i now have 2x 2lb banana bread with no clue as to what to do with. On the plus side i found a bottle of washing up liquid lurking in the back of the cupboard so i can now stop adding water to the small amount of fairy liquid i had left :o and also means i dont have to go shopping tomorrow :j . hope everyone has a great day x

When I make banana bread and suchlike I freeze it sliced and wrapped ready to put in mine and OH's lunch box for work - it defrosts before lunch easily.

Looking forward to trying to stick to the budget this month, went shopping yesterday and it was meant to be minimal but I spent just under £40..then had to go out today for a few bits and spent another few pounds so not as great a start as I wanted...also have cooked a big piece of pork for dinner and ds is suffering (self inflicted) and probably isn't going to eat any! will end up a waste of time in the end...oh well, maybe I can eat leftover pork tomorrow!! at least the kids are having a proper dinner today though, yesterday we were rushing out so they ended up with a tin of beans and sausages with egg and chips!!

Good luck all for March x

I have managed an NSD today - probably because it was Sunday, though in truth there is nothing we need at the moment so I may last until Tuesday.

Cooked the chicken today - so far it has done lunch for three (DD2 came home to do her washing!!) It will do 8 more portions at least, I've stripped it and put 6 in the freezer and 2 are in the fridge - this will make chicken and broccolli pie. There are about 4 portions of slices for sandwiches for OH and I Monday and Tuesday and the remains are in the slow cooker for chicken soup.
The frozen portions will be decided on when I come to use them I'll have to get this jaded brain into gear and think of some ideas.

Also made probably the best batch of Twinks I have ever produced - trouble is I've told DD2 she can take them home:D

    Good luck with March everyone.
