Just a quickie to tell anyone who is interested that Poundland are advertising on their website big boxes of Kellogs cornflakes. They are my favourite cornflakes so I'm going into town today to get some. Also getting some deodorant for DH & three sons while I'm there so will aim to spend no more than £5. There's nothing I need just stuff I'll want when I see it & I'm trying to train myself to learn the difference & not buy things ;)

I have yet to update my sig yet, but I know already that I have failed for this month. Just spent another £100 on shopping for this week. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how things are getting more expensive.
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

It should be a NSD for me. I plan to use everything in my freezer for the next 2 weeks. I did some baking in my new cooker yesterday. What a difference! My old cooker was definitely past it's sell by date. I have never managed to bake scones properly for some reason, so I am going to bake some at the weekend. I am using the recipe from Jamie's Ministry of Food.

I think I will make it this month under. I am putting the money away toward a chest freezer. Hopefully, I can get one in May. The electrician who sorted my cooker, is going to put electricity out to our shed. Having more freezer capacity will make a huge difference to me.

Afternoon all just a quick update on the spends so far....£8 in herons on milk catfood tom sauce(which has leaked all over my hands  ) brown bread and some other bits  . £3.50 in the fruit shop(noticed the cucumber has doubled in price since last week   , also 99p for a lettuce),HB spent £3.82 and spent £1.85 in wilkos(a record for me i went in for cat litter and deodarant for DD and came out with just the two things :j ) Money will be rounded up to the nearest pound as the loose change goes in my pot so this week so far i have spent £18 out of my budget :j . If i avoid the temptation of the shops and use what we have in the house this should be it(i have enough bread and milk to last the weekend). Have a shopping trip to MrT on monday so will try to make some kind of meal plan and list for then.x

Hi everyone - promised myself I will NOT go anywhere near any shops until next week now as Budget very depleted, have plenty of milk and F&V in so should manage.;)

Dinner tonight is Toad in the Hole, Dauphinois potatoes, steamed carrots and green beans and lots of yummy gravy - shouldn't need pudding after that lot.

Made some little cherry bakewells for Red Nose Day tomorrow, just got to hide them from everyone until I can put them in their Lunchboxes in the morning.;)

    Have a good day everyone.:D

Well the girls went to the supermarket for me, milk, bread, eggs and potatoes. £6.49 after the milk vouchers were used. Must update my total now.

That's exactly how I feel actually. I keep grumping at DH for him going to the shops but in the main it's for things we need. Today was bread and milk.

Do you know what I would love? Just once? It would be to hear exactly what you all spend your money on.

Re St Patrick's Day, it is special because that's my birthday :rotfl: . I'll be a v scary 43 this year :o . Weird how, in my head, I remain a dizzy teenager though

43 isn't that scary once you get there (I'm still trying to get my head around having reached that figure 7 weeks ago!)

As to what we spend the money on - I plan to update my March accounts tonight / tomorrow, and will see what I can do then -- but I've very little (if any  ) meat in my spends from this month as I'm working from my freezers as much as possible.
