  • £47.81 spent at Aldi yesterday, not quite sure how I spent that but it's all meal planned items and I as I don't shop there often I stocked up on a few things from there I can't get anywhere else. I got a couple of packs of reduced chicken drumsticks and stuck them in the freezer, just need to find a recipe off the SC thread.

It's only the 7th and I'm half way through my budget!!!! It'll be tight this month as I'm stockpiling SC meals in the freezer for when baby arrives so I'm cooking more than I need to for this month, but will hopefully see the benefit in April/May. I'm not gonna beat myself up if I go over budget though. Getting easy freezer meals made is priority for me at the mo :).

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

I had another NSD yesterday so I'm doing OK.

Made a huge pan of chicken soup a few days ago which we will finish off for lunch today. I've been having yet another rummage in the freezer to see what needs using up - no matter how hard I try I always end up with stuff in there for ages.

OH and I are going to have an energetic day today, gardening and generally doing thinks with the house.
Tomorrow we are going to have a day out - don't know where to but we may just point the car and see where we end up:D

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Been to Rainbow and MrT today so have updated sig. Totals were a bit higher but I don't count alcohol so have taken that off:D. Also took off DSS's girlfriend's cake but have counted the rest of food for the meal.
Rainbow has Flora Buttery for 87p if that helps anyone. I like their lean steak mince and it was 2 packs for £5 which saved 98p.
We're away for a long weekend next weekend so have plenty in till then. Might need a few bits for packed lunches - forgot to get apples but we got bananas.
Anyway, off for a cup of tea and put my feet up after all that unpacking.

ed to add - reb - I've been unwell with a bug too. Lasted all week and finally felt yesterday afternoon that I'd turned the corner. It really wipes you out so take care

someone asked about bars for breakfast...home bargains do them very cheap from time to time...i got nutrigrain bars for ds last week for 19p each...they were big ones so thought that was cheap...u could try making something yourself...maybe flapjack based but thats if u have the time

further to the little stars vouchers i mentoned in muller light yogurt...i used them yesterday in sainsburys...i had 2 packs little stars and 2 reduced pork chops off the meat counter that were 75p...when the lady on the till rang it uo she asked me for 6p...i looked blank and she said stars were on offer so got 12 yogurts and 2 pork chops for 6p...not bad:p

Been to MrM today for the weekly top up shop, spent a bit more than planned but I did pick up some bed mats for one of my twins to save putting a nappy on her at night, she always gets up and uses the potty so it is a waste of a nappy but I wanted to get the mats to save her mattress just in case, so tonight wil be her first night without a nappy on! also had to get some pull ups as my other twin is sooo far away from being trained - strange really!

anyway was going to get a MrS big shop delivered on Tuesday but looking at what I have got I have cancelled that and going to see if I can put that off for another week to get me further along...

Hope you are all doing ok this month...off to update sig x

    Evening all.

Just wanted to update my sig. Spent a little bit today in MrS. DH needed a few bits for a scout event he's doing this evening, so will be refunded for those, although also picked up a few things for us (like you do.... )

Lovely day here in Kent. Managed to sow some veg seeds in the greenhouse. Will be looking to have more homegrown veg this year which will be great.

    Hope everyone's doing okay.
