You go into a store, close your eyes and point at a computer, what's it going to have installed on it?

Let's not pretend consumers make objective decisions regarding which OS to use; most have only ever used Windows, and are more concerned about what brand the machine is than which brand of OS is on it.

Microsoft screwed up royally, and they're going to be charging you to fix it. I seem to recall that Microsoft were peddling a similar line to you; that Vista not doing so well just showed how good XP was. The problem is that it's nonsense.
Fix it yourself, that is what internet forums were invented for...technical support.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Really??? If thats so how come linux netbooks run faster? Is that because you don't have to run security software in the back ground because windoze is badly writen?? Yes. Is it because it does everything that windozze can do and more for free?? Yes.
Start coming up with fact rather than deluded Linux speak dear sir, Linux is as vunerable as any Microsoft O/S out there for Viri and mal-ware.

Then complain to PC world as they are the biggest bunch of incompetent, arrogant, thick, un-professional IT noobs in the universe, of course they will sell only Windows based machines as they over charge for everything, besides they would not know their way around BASH and any seasoned Linux admin or user will know that most of the useful tasks are carried out in BASH.

Youy really have no idea what you're talking about do you??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Linux_computer_viruses Linux viruses listed on one page.

No point in doing the same for windows cant fit them on 100 pages. Besides which these listed viruses dont pose a massive threat because linux is inherently secure.

Of course it does, and a very good one at that.

I'm uncertain how Microsoft's technical support could advise me how to make Vista less crap, aside from telling me save up all my pocket money and pony up for Windows 7 once it's released.
