Except Quorn is not made from soya, it's made from manufactured mould - mycoprotein is the poncey name they have given it. :rotfl:And I've never really thought of Quorn to be 'processed' or 'manufactured'... no more so than meat anyway. You have to do some kind of 'process' to get your beef from a cow, so it's surely the same kind of process to get soya/veggie beef from a soya cow, right? Thanks to all who post constructively.

I'm reluctant about posting again to this forum after the unwelcoming reception I got last time. Why does this board attract so many unpleasant people? It seems that every time anyone makes a constructive or informative posting, someone else feels the need to play semantic games or make some other spurious attack on the poster.
Anyway, for what it is worth, I will continue posting special offers on quorn and other cheap deals. This week Waitrose have both Quorn chicken-style and ham-style slices for £1.0 -
