It's made from a organism called "mycoprotein" - fungus found in the soil. Mycoprotein is "the processed cellular mass that is obtained from the filamentous fungus Fusarium venenatum strain PTA-2684," (patent application).
In other words - an organism found in the soil. "The tiny organism was found in the soil in the village of Marlow, England"

My garden soil contains quite a lot of our three cats' faeces. These are also natural and very organic. How "more organic can U get"? Nice.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Sorry! I fully apologise for my part in that- especially after mentioning the very same point to others on this thread...:embarasse Though theres no need for the language problem you seem to have...

£1 for 300grams frozen Quorn-mince

Do you know what is totally unnecessary? I hardly feel I need to say it, but almost 6 pages of drivel and trolling, made up of comments from, and to, you and your buddy, James_N.
I would say that, in your dutiful, anti-Quorn honor, you have successfully managed to change the minds of exactly zero users here. So well done for that, keep fighting your futile corner until Quorn products are completely banished from the face of the earth, and those people who have chosen to eat those products, for whatever reason, are sufficiently ridiculed.
Also, I'm sure everyone here is glad to be told what they find offensive. No doubt [Removed by Forum Team] will be inundated with e-mails from the people who have contributed to this thread.
Those offers again, just so that my post isn't a complete waste of energy:

In reply to an earlier post it seems the Iceland Quorn offers run till 21/3 - according to madaboutbargains. I don't know where they get that info from, there is no mention of any end date of the offer in the store.0

Actually in all fairness James_N is not my buddy, I just like to stick up for the underdog when I see somebody being ganged up on. We do eat Quorn from time time, but in my ignorance I always assumed that it was made from soya protein. I was vegetarian for about a year when I was younger, but I certainly didn't go around trying to ram my views down the throats of all and sundry. Thanks to all who post constructively.
