I agree with everyone else, i would be expecting a real working phone esp as i noticed along with Soo that you say its simlocked to orange network, you need to refund without taking out fees as this is unfair to the buyer.

Right - point aside that the listing was misleading.

You cannot take money out of the refund for fees. Refund by paypal and the paypal fees will be refunded as well.

Start a NPB process - but here you need to click that you agree not to go ahead, its not far for you to start an NPB claiming the buyer didn't pay (as they did) as they will get a strike on their account. However, you are hoping on his good will to agree to confirm this (ebay will email him to ask) and as long as he does, you will get your final value fees back as well.

Re-list the item - ensure the description is clearer and if it sells a 2nd time, your 2nd listing fees will be refunded too.

As you can see, there is no need to deduct any money from his refund. No wonder he is threatening all sorts with you. Its much more sensible to tell him that this is what you intend to do on the understanding that he confirms to ebay about not continuing with the transaction in order to reclaim FVF fees - then you will same day refund his money.

I suggest you do this before he starts paypal chargeback and non-performing seller report - much nicer to sort this first.

And please make your listings clearer with what it is you are actually selling. You could/will end up getting into trouble with ebay and quite probably suspended if too many people complain.

I think looking at the listing I would refund the person all the money - after all the item was very misleading. I would have expected a proper phone!

  • I think he already said that he bought it off eBay before and it was listed as orange.

ok fair enough i had decided yesterday before i put anything on here that whatever you guys and girls thought was right that would be what i do so i've refunded.
seriously tho when i bought the phone that is (like i have already said)how it was listed and i honestly did'nt expect to get anything other than a display phone (dummy)

WEll, I'm intelligent but not clued up about phones, and I thought it was a real phone. what is all this simlock stuff about?

    You're right to have refunded.

I have to say that if you used some punctuation, then it would make things a bit clearer, although in your listing it would still not have helped people understand it was a dummy phone.

And why would you want one of those anyway? And why is your feedback private?

Personally, I'd have thought your lsiting looked well dodgy and avoided you!! But you're obviously a nice person really :heartpuls
