just one question - crunchy or smooth peanut butter? i got both!
It doesn't say, just says peanut butter.
I suppose it's a matter of taste, I've only got crunchy so I may try it with that.
Come to think of it, I don't even have any normal rice krispies in, will have to have a go with the Tesco Choco Pops or whatever they are called.
:rolleyes:0 -
I loooooooooooove peanut butter - and i got a box of rice crispies only thing i need to buy is marshmallows - is asda still open i wonder?
If you have a B&M store they sell the tiny marshmallows (mix of pink and white) for less than £2, they are in a little novelty container with googly eyes, feet and a hat!0 -
Due to chaotic foodstorage at the parental home, I have retrieved what looks like a whole packet of rice krispies which have been stored in an airtight container for a couple of years.
Mum doesn't want them to eat as cereal, I don't like to eat them as cereal, but they taste OK and I'd like to make something cake-ish with them. Has anyone got a suitable recipe please?

The one we used to use does not appear to be there, basically the same a cornflake cakes, melt butter/marg, sugar and cocoa or drinking chocolate, coat the crispies and them pack down into a layer in a tray or make into blobs in papercases. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I can't see the recipes for some reason, but if it helps, my mother used to make rice crispy cakes with honey and butter. IMO a more summery taste than chocolate ones.0

You can smush them up and use them instead of breadcrumbs in savoury things too, for example mixed with cheese on top of pasta bake and then stuck under the grill.Debt at worst point = £8100 Debt now = £9560

Ooooh, thank you all. I detest waste and Mum was just going to bin them; that's 2.59 worth and I can't be having that!
Love the idea of nest of mini eggs.....might find some of them reduced after easter methinks.....never thought of adding them to something for extra crunch, that's a good one. Knew you peeps would know the answer, many thanks!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
