  • Spread them on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven for a few minutes to re-crisp.

I'd much prefer rice crispy cakes though!

dont make rice crispie cakes with soft rice crispies, they are horrid! It doesnt revive them and ive had some really horrible ones in my lunch. I used to make them every week and it made me go off them as a packet always went soft towards the end.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Think I'll crisp them in the oven and see what they're like.

  • In my recent budget shopping I thought I'd try a pack of Tesco value rice crispies - turns out we don't like them at all for cereal, they're aneamic looking and seems there's just no comparison. Now I have a whole pack to use up and I wondered if you have any ideas what to do with them. I can look up a chocolate crispie recipe but would love to hear from you with ideas please!

Rice Crispie treats, bars made with crispies and marshmallow as glue. That's what we do in America. I don't have a recipe, but I am pretty sure your marshmallows will work if you Google a recipe. Yours do cook into a sticky taffy, right? They'll just be pink, which I find weird.

  • has reminded me of a gluten-free cheese cake my sister made - I think the base consisted mostly of rice crispies to give it that crunch. I'll see if I can find the recipe.
But maybe it's a variation on the choc crispie cake recipe!
