I am beginning to wonder if theres a bit of a scam going on here and all they want is your personal details to send you more crud through the post. My OH got the Prima in March and successfully got her haircut and although the hairgroup .com said there was one in our postcode area my OH got a call from another town 20 miles away. The same offer has been made in July Eve but when my OH read the t & cs in tiny writing it says only one haircut per person per year which is quite unfair especially if you are buying different magazines to get the offer. The offer has also been in the Daily Mail over the past 3 months, and I believe its the hairgroup .com thats behind the herbal essence shampoo. Is that why so many havent had the call back as promised in the offer???

I agree entirely about the false advertising ( think I wrote a post a month ago about this issue). While stood at the checkout in Sainsburys saw their mag, embalzoned with "Free Hair Cut for Every Reader". Flicked thu' and saw it was with the Hair Group, and already knowing the T&C of their offers knew I could only have one per yr, and just had mine done courtesy of the Prima offer.
BUT. If I had bought the mag, based on the front cover Free to all Readers, then later found I couldn't have a free haircut, I would be well miffed.
Wonder is any legal MSE's have a view on this.
Presumably it is the magazine compay/newspapers who advertise the Freebie who are at fault. If I had bought both mags, specifically for the Free Haircut, could I insist that I get the second one free - even if it meant the mag/newspaper having to foot the bill ?
    On similar lines
1)not too happy with the papers advertising free bets - but when you read the details inside it turns out to be MATCHING bets - therefore not free at all
    2) MAIL last week had a 'Free wine for every reader' - but read the details inside, and it turned out you had to buy one bottle at £8.99 or something to get a free bottle. At a time when most stores are doing half priced wine anyway !!
Why does the advertising standards agency not stop this misleading advertising, or does it take official complaints from the public ( i.e. us) to get them to do their job ?
Sorry, as you may have gathered, Mazdamansport has hit on one of my pet bug-bears !!:D

Thanks for the email addresses above. I too applied back in Feb. I contacted them in May and was told I would hear from a salon soon. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero you get the picture. What a con. I have tried the email addresses above. I've been hanging on for my freebie - my hair is a right mess. Fingers crossed

I rang 01923234556 for the second time after not hearing anything from a salon, they gave me the salon number direct, i rang and was able to book appointment for next week!
