morning folks.
So much happening mymind wouldn't settle and I had a rather bad night, no dog walking with the g/fs that have mutts today. Maybe we'll meet for lunch. Busy trying to organise the visit of youth orchestra's twin town group in October. There's a lot to do, including a rather difficult EU grant form to fill in and also arrange a programme for the week of their visit.
Got out one of my freezer meals last night, old chilli for me (spicy) and new chilli (extremely spicy!) for the boys.
Chorus rehearsal followed, we're all a bit high about the fact that we're competing in European comp in Holland next weekend. Lots of excitement there!
Today is more form filling. Quick tea of Egg beans and toast, as ds has concert for us to go to. Venue is Chester Cathedral choir school.
I'm over to Harrogate tomorrow for an event, then rehearsing with chorus for a large part of the day on Sunday. Think I need to do fruit shopping before that.
Hope you all have a good day."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Clarabelle - I am glad that I am not the only one whose little one is scared of the hoover.
Hester - when little bear started to crawl we hoovered and hoovered and hoovered and little bear still found cat treats. I didn't realise how quickly I could move until then! I don't think he managed to chew any, but even then he was a character. They are now distributed only in the kitchen (to evil cat's disgust).
I am hopeful that I won't have anything to report re little bear, as he is very quiet today so I hope he will have some nice cuddles and some nice naps. Apparently the doctor saw little ones with chicken pox before she saw little bear. I wouldn't go looking for infections but if he has chicken pox now it would be so better for him. However, as he is getting green nosed again I think it is just yet another cold toughening up his immune system.
Also, I once started chatting with a lady and she said that she didn't believe in immunisations and wanted her little girl to catch measles naturally at an early ages :eek::eek::eek: How can anyone think that? Measles can do so much damage. I would much prefer little bear not to catch anything! I got a bit strident. Measles can kill! So I am not wanting little bear to actually catch anything but if he does I am resigned and would rather he had chicken pox earlier than later.
MSD - you are in my thoughts and prayers. It is such an awful time.
Silvercharming - it is one of the hardest things, coping with the guilt that there is nothing visibly wrong with you but you still can't do things! I imagine it like a broken leg. You can only do so much with a broken leg.
Well, washer on, the mountain of ironing is getting higher. I'll report back if I actually manage to do anything more old style.

Have just phoned DD to wish her happy birthday (20th).
DH and I have had a cooked breakfast which should last us most of the day.
Have talked him into driving me to MandS for their £10 meal deal and then want to check the route to a very good (Egon Ronay) fish restaurant in Leeds for birthday meal tomorrow when DD gets back for about 24 hours stay.
Hugs to silvercharming, PennyPincher, MSD, Snowy, Csarina (get that arm dressed!) Hello to Orkney Star and apologies to anyone I missed out.
See you later

Morning All
Had a brilliant night last night and didn't get up until 10 this morning, at that didn't have a drink as I was driving:eek: :j :T :rotfl: .
WM been on and towel out.
:bdaycake: Crazychick - nice to see your here again.
Elona next stage is why finish when the winter is upon us, if we do it in June then we can go out and about for the summer :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
May need to restrict posting in March, as they are changing the connection deal to 30 hours a month. That is dialup and costing 15€, but I can switch it off when not here. Cheapest broadband is 20€ for 1meg and I would have to leave it on. The OS in me says keep within 30 hours.
csarina - yes a trip to the drs. is necessary to 1 - get your arm checked, 2 - show how much oh's condition and living accommodation is getting to you and 3 - get oh's appointment/results sorted. Have you tried ringing the consultants secretary and pleading insanity/desperation? It can work I know.
WS - I think the time has come when OS/housework has to wait until OH gets home and takes over LB, and you just give him all your time otherwise, I know my DS needed that for a while. He also hates the hoover noise, even at almost 24 (or that is his excuse!:rotfl: )
Just starting 3rd coffee, always takes longer to come round when I sleep in.
Be good, take care all, and :grouphugs: to those who'd like to grab one, to everyone else.

Hello,
Very tired today, was a real struggle to get out of bed this morning. Can't wait to get a lie in tomorrow. Flat is spic and span though with only some washing to do at some point over weekend. Sandwich and fruit for lunch today and going out for a curry with work tonight. Last night out for a while I think as the purse string are going to well and truly tightened up. Had a very long stessful week, can't wait for OH to come back, missing him terribly.
Dull, damp and windy here today, hope it brightens up fr tomorrow as I have hockey and Scotland are takig on Italy at Murrayfield. Won't be at the game as hockey clashes with it but should catch it on tv after.
No plans for weekend apart from RELAXATION!! First Sunday off from sport for a very long time.:j
How are we all today? HUGS to all in need and have a super Friday. Off out to get some petrol in the car as I think it is running on air just now:eek:
Edit: Turfy, that is shocking, a real shame for the family.Very sad.Spreading the gospel that is Martin Lewis to the future generation....I'm a Home Economics Teacher and being thrifty is the way!:A0 -
Just popped back to say thanks for all the good wishes for Tristan.. and to say he sent me an email! He sent me a 'smilie' love heart and flower. I mailed him a day or so ago to say not to try and write if he was too tired so I am guessing this is his way of contacting me without having to struggle!!
Anyway, it has made me smile! I really do look like this ->(without the bilious green colour!!)
Will post the coffee cake recipe either later today or on tomorrows thread but its basically just a coffee sponge. I put a glace icing on top so your teeth ache when you eat it it's so sweet.:rotfl: :rotfl:
Crazychick -hon, sorry I missed it on my earlier post!
silvercharming - you post whenever you like - we do not demand that you be happy when you do so! We all need support at times so if you need to - post on here and vent all you like.
Orkney - nice to see you back with us honey!
Turfy - what sad news, and what a shock to the family.
