    Right.
    I had 10 phones - got R+R no problem.
Then I took them back the next day for a full refund.
Then I went back and bought them again.
    I do this every day now - I'm making £3000 a week!
    :iloveyou: Tesco!
my local tesco extra at talbot green will only allow r&r one 1 item.
overcharged on 3 packs of runner beans (£1.49 should have been 98)
cs posotively rude gave r&r for 1 refunded difference for other two.
unfair or what , i only noticed mistake when i got home, how many other people had tesco overcharged with out them noticing.
Im jealous of all you out there who are able to beat tesco at thier own game .( making huge profits) dealing with cs staff is nightmaire its self, you'd think it was thier own money.

I had a look at that thread, but when I went into my local Tesco, none of the stuff I'd read about on here was mispriced in my store

I just wondered if there was a knack to finding the stuff that has been priced wrong......you feel a bit conspicuous wandering around for an hour and a half, still with an empty trolley cos you can't find anything that you can get ""free"" !!!!

Ring Tesco customer service, in a case like this they will normaly phone the store manage then next time you go in you can go to the CS desk and get your refund (take your reciept) and they will be much less likely to do this to you again!

I'm envious of those with access to an instore scanner at their Tesco store. I'd be in seventh heaven scanning possible r&r's at whim... It'd beat trying to innocently approach the Photography till and asking there for a price check on an item that could be a potential r&r. So far they've always obliged and aren't suspicious, but still I have to put on a brave face - perhaps it's a guilty conscience - and take a deep breath before I approach them to check yet another price. (Never more than once per shopping session tho').
I go through the same routine when I have been overcharged, during the walk to the cs to claim my booty!

There's not 1 decent sized Tesco near to me with a working scanner (I don't go to Metro's)

I've become very adept at changing my mind on the checkout when a possible R&R scans correctly :D

    Hi Mandy

I posted my first misprice on the thread on sunday.

My background is that I have 5 kids, a new born through to a 9 year old. My wife does not work and I have a moderatly well paid job, but as a result of "so many mouths to feed" I have to budget down to the nearest quid.

I have always been a stickler for receipt checking. I think I got it off my dad, he used to take a calculator shopping and keep a tally of what he was spending. He knew when he got to the checkout and the amount was different to his calc, something was up.

We would then spend 20 mins sat in the car trying to work out what was charged wrong and then we'd go back into the shop. Cut to embarrasing scenes while dad was getting his 9p refund on a loaf of bread. I hated it at the time, but now I have a family of my own, I know where he was coming from.

How does this relate to mispricing. Well long before Tesco had a R&R policy I used to check my recipts. Pack lunches alone means we need 6 loafs a week. A misprice of 10p on each can add up. And its very much slanted in the supermarkets favour.

How many of us actually check each item? How can we? We need photographic memories. Fortunatly I have one (it helped me join MENSA!) so I can just about remember the labels on the shelfs for comparison to my receipt.

I never try a R&R on anything I won't normally buy. People go in for phones etc, thats up to them, but if its on my shopping list, I will spot it.

The key thing is to look at the label on the shelf and then compare against the product. If the product is greater than the shelf, its a misprice. You can also check what it would scan against on the many machines in Tesco.

    HTH

I'd advise to keep checking on the mis prise thread and then check when you do your normal shop, Eventually you will find a misprice and once you do you'll know what to look out for and you'll find you spot them a lot easier. I know this from the weeks I spent looking without any luck, wondering what I was doing wrong. Regarding BOGOF's etc I'd think these are found without looking or taking a chance if you see two prices for the same item. Writing the prices against your shopping list will help you spot anything overcharged - and yes it is time consuming. Good Luck

Have you ever asked about this when your instore. I wouldnt be surprised if half the time the staff don't realise the scanguides are !!!!!!ed as they never use them. I can have a peek to see if they have logged a problem with them if you can tell me a store name or two :)

Noticed my first misprice this lunchtime - popped into Aldershot store for a sandwich, and noticed the Tecknika DVD105 player Marked as £29.97 on main display, but £27.92 on another shelf display. There were about a dozen there, but took only two. Had to wait for the superviser to authorise the refund, but no quibble.

I did, however feel like a criminal, but my BLT sandwich tastes so much nicer!!

P.S. would any of you have taken the whole lot, or is that too cheeky?

I am always torn by this one, my mum thinks it's a disgrace. But then Tesco are again and again given every opportunity to correct these things and they don't and every time they don't they are ripping another unaware customer off by 1p or £20 in some instances. So by this theory you should take them all and stop anyone else being overcharged, could always donate some of them to a local kids chartiy.

All that said, with the moral high ground above I don't preach my successes to family and friends, probably down to my catholic guilt! But I do feel great at getting something back from the store I spent most of my hard earned salary at every month.
Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.

Yes I think it is. Why?

    a) You are stopping anyone else benefit from the misprice (by taking all the goods)
    b) You will make Tesco re-think their policy of R&R (despite anyones views on how bad Tesco are at overcharging or running over small companies and suppliers, the R&R policy is unique in the market place and well over and above your statuary rights.)
c)It smacks of greed and will make CS wary the next time I walk up with a 10p overcharge on a loaf of bread. (Your take of 10 DVD players will make it hard for others)

    Just my opinion.
