Think I can smell those pancakes YUMMY.
:A Put the slow cooker on last night with some lamb , carrots, parsnips onions and pearl barley. When I got in I will sort out some spuds and cabbage and we will have a real good healthy cheap dinner. Not sure about lunch at the mo as I am having a half day to take parents to the airport.Hello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.

griffam - dinner sounds good, maybe I should consider a slow cooker so I could make tasty stews etc. Do they cost a lot in electric to run tho?0
-
Not at all similar to a light bulb I think. It means I am not lighting a whole oven. I now use an electric steamer also. This seems to save me money. I only cook in the oven now at week ends when I can batch cook. I started this at the same time as my tumble drier died. I replaced this with a retractable line on the landing. DH reckons cutting down with the oven every day and not having tumble drier is saving us bout £35 a month....he has kept a check on the meter.

thanks, will do, Would be good if I could put together some nice meals and it cost less than our electric oven. I'm a compulsive unit checker too!
Have decided on a healthy tin of soup - thick but only 26 calories per 100ml plus one slice of wholemeal bread. 2yr old son is liking his! Yes I know it's only just gone half eleven...we were hungry!0 -

2-Debt=stress stress stress
so in jan barclays did not pay my hsbc card direct debit because it would put me 10p over my overdraft!
so they called me up and said i owe 72 pound which was very surprising as my minimum payment is only 36! but they had added together jan and febs and said i owe both. so anyway i paid the 36 for jan and said sorry as it was my bad for makign sure i had enough money in the joint account- and asked would the feb payment be paid liek normal vis direct debit and be 36 they said yes!
so weeks pass and i think nothing put the money in the account make sure there is 50 in even though there is only 36 due to be taken, then......

they go and try and take 72!
so of course it bounces and they charge me and the bank charges me and feb payment is not paid!
so when i recieve a letter from bank to inform me of this i call hsbc furious!
i get through to an american guy called rodrick who only adds to the fire burnign up inside me because he just has no idea what i am talking about and clearly just keeps re-reading a script!
anyway i try again and this time i get a call centre in india and they try to tell me its my fault and i owe them another 73 pound!
so i hang up cus she cant understand me and i cant understand her and thought id wait till they call me cus they are from an english call centre.
so they did call me and they just keep hanging up! sometimes it only rings once! at like 8 am in the morning! so now im going to send a cheque! but then im thinking if they are going to take another 72 should i really send the cheque!
argh!!!!!
And if thats not enough i did a balance transfer from my egg account of 3000 and then transferred hubbys wages to joint account ready to pay rent for new house tomo and egg have taken the monthly direct debit of 162!
which is cash i needed! i had no idea they would take the payment if you had already paid cus barclaycard dont do this!
its so stressful! argh

i hate money and debt!
Ditto and well said debtbegone. I really hope the move goes ok. I dont know how you are even contemplating it. I hate moving and that is one reason why I am determined to sort our lives out for good. I could not face another move. Sometimes life is just knackering. I find with a full time very demanding job, four kids ( 3 at home and one at uni) and DH (daft hubby in my case) I sometimes feel like I am overwhelmed. I am however glad my hubby is daft as he really balances out my stressfull outlook. He is so laid back and he always says IF NO ONE HAS DIED THEN EVERYTHINGS OK He is the reason my my weight as well cos he just loves me whatever and so I feel content abut everything...........until I look in the mirror..then I hate myself. But Hey we are all in the same boat I expect.
Will be thinking about you with the move...take a few minutes evry now and then , grab a coffee and low fat snack and CHILL !!!!Hello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.
