Free CD-Wow £8.75 voucher loophole

I've had the 3 x £3 'goodwill vouchers' offer, but have gone back and asked them to reconsider on the basis that I am (genuinely) a Time Out reader. Fingers crossed...0

I haven't even received the 3 £3 vouchers, are they still in the process of sending these out? To be honest I'd lost hope of the £8.75 voucher now so would be pleased to receive the bunch of £3 vouchers instead.0

I used to run a freebie-type website and it's these sorts of offers that used to scare me. We would send hundreds of people to claim a free gift and hope that the company didn't threaten us with legal action for essentially gaining at their cost. For example, in that recent MSE newsletter I personally would have been far more careful to state that those applying for the Cineworld ticket consider Npower's offer, rather than categorically state "do not switch". At the very least, it's an unethical thing to do since the costs may be passed onto existing npower customers further down the line.
If I ran CD-WOW and didn't have a budget for this offer being abused, I would immediately ignore anything coming from sites like MSE using server referal logs, which would catch a high percentage. You see, the point of offering the freebie is to convert the application into a regular customer, I doubt your typical MSE member would fit that category because even if they do make future purchases then they will more than likely trawl the 'net for discount vouchers etc...
Anyway, that's just another viewpoint on the subject.0 -

I would actually prefer 3 X £3 vouchers - more than £8.75OK so I would have to place 3 orders to use them but thats no problem for me :rotfl:
Im not going to bother asking for a voucher though, I didn't buy the mag so I don't really deserve one - worth a try though!:j :j0 -
I got the 3x£3 vouchers also, take it you can only use one per order then?0

hmm - I don't need music, but I needed a cheap spare headset, so I got the (definitely cheapo looking) 04M £5.99 stereo one for £2.99 inc p+p using one of the codes, long as they do the job
If you want a one ear headset/mic thingy, they do have some for £4.49 inc p+p - so using a code £1.49 inc p+p! ain't free, but is not so bad.0 -
I've started a thread in Discount vouchers 'n codes forum called '£3.00 CD WOW codes' if anyone wants to post any codes they don't need there for others.0

No Voucher for me as I didnt qualify

At least they are sending out goodwill vouchers
Well I suppose that at least, if you didn't get the voucher because they said you didn't fit the criteria to join, then if you really don't want to receive all the CD WOW e-mails you can cancel now!
