This is unfair we should complain to the ASA as the magazine advertised a free CD.

Just found this forum, and thought I'd add my 2p.
I have also emailed CDWow to ask where my voucher is. I received the following reply:

We have verified the information you provided.

To qualify for the Time Out Reader’s voucher offer you had to:

· Purchase Time Out issue 1852 dated 15th – 22nd February 2006

· Register with CD WOW! via the Time Out link as advertised in issue number
1852

· Opt-in to our CD WOW! newsletters

Having tracked and verified your application, unfortunately you do not
qualify for voucher.

I have mailed them again, asking them to elaborate. I would also like to know
Why (post registration) I was told I would be sent a voucher, if I was not eligible ?
Why I was subsequently deemed not eligible ?
If I was subsequently deemed not eligible, why did CD Wow not inform me of this, giving their reasons ?

It sounds to me as though their marketing dept. fuxx0red up on this one. If they have any honour they should pay up and take the hit. Take the money out of the marketing bods wages - their bad, not mine.

Update: I've just had a response to my last email:

We understand your disappointment and we will investigate your application
further.

This was a genuine promotion to readers of Time Out, issue number 1852, but
unfortunately it has been abused.

Please understand that we have been swamped with "fradulent" applications
due to postings on forums and newsgroups hence this unusual delay -
apologies.

We will get back to you by Wednesday 15th March latest.

Interesting to note the date by which they intend to get back to me. One day AFTER the voucher expires!

Does anyone actually qualify, because as yet I'm not aware of anyone who has received an £8.75 voucher in the last few days. They are acting very strange in my opinion, offering out 3 x £3 vouchers at random, changing the T&Cs, ignoring people, not emailing any £8.75 vouchers etc. Bizarre...

Some people on this site posted last week that they had received the voucher once they had said where they had bought it and what was on the cover of the magazine.

Yeah but all of a sudden their policy changed, presumably because loads of people (including me) emailed them after reading about this point on the message boards. I emailed saying where I bought Timeout, and confirming my address, but they never replied! It seems they suddenly panicked at the volume of emails, and have acted very strange ever since! seems like timeout and cd wow have changed the goal posts because too many people signed up. Good work!

So if have never read the magazine and applied then i believe you are to blame for the rest of us either not recieving anything or getting the £3 vouchers.

i got the following email with 3 X £3 vouchers, im happy enough, confused about the criteria as i thought id met it!! and id of much rather had one voucher rather than 3 lower value ones
