chicarg wrote:Perhaps the moderator can now lock this thread? The deadline has passed to receive the vouchers, and whether you have indeed received them or not, I cannot believe the amount of abuse is generating among newbies that have just signed to the site and only posted in this thread mainly to abuse each other and/or other moneysavers & the mse site. This is surely not the true spirit of the site? And newbies should abstain from registering to MSE just to post abuse! Please let's stop it here.
What exactly is the true spirit of the site chicarg? If newbs want to diss each other just ignore them. Let them have their petty squabble. My opinion is with trashbat on this one. Whoever he/she/it is, they have highlighted a very pertinent point with regard to the CD Wow offer. It's interesting that you've only posted 56 times in a6 months, whereas i've done 5 in a day. Who's the real newbie here?
I don't need a site like this to blag free stuff of websites, and the fact that everybody has missed an even bigger loophole is absolutely incredible to me. I personally am here for personal finance help and advice on investing cash fair and square. The whole Mr Lewis thing I posted here was an ironic response.
Lock it by all means, but you've missed the point.
I'm going to register a vote on your behalf for Judd Nelson, because I know you mean well. (and yes I am being ironic again)0 -
Im currently in discussions with CD-Wow over this voucher issue. Not going to say anything at the moment for fear of prejudicing the issue, hope to have a resolution soon.

AT the end of the day, why are people getting in an !!!!!! over this, the Fact is
1. Cdwow don't have to do vouchers but they do
2 They could easily say screw the lot of ya we won't do vouchers anymore
3.The company is only looking after itself, !!!!!! if youre company had made an error like this would you honour it, NO!!!!!!! too many people are ruining this for the genuine people who only applied for 1 voucher.
4 if everyone had only applied for one i can quite well believe we would have recieved one, this is a lesson to all of you don't be so greedy next time.0 -
They still have today and tomorrow to come good.
what's the point in agonising over it until then?0 -

This is correct, all this hassle and the 10 working days from the 21st is not even up yet!
If it does not arrive tomorrow then I will kick up but not yet..0 -

WHy do you need to kick up, you are not entitled to this voucher, if you get the voucher then bonus but if not the company is only protecting its profits0 -
What about the responsibility of Time Out in all this?
I bought my copy of the magazine cos I thought I was getting something free with it. To find out its not actually in the magazine is annoying. To find out I gave CD-WOW my information for no reward is surely bad practice by both the magazine and CD-WOW.
Then to find out Martin put it on here anyway ... enough said!
"free CD for every single reader" surely some guarantee applies here0 -

But because other people have abused the promotion then they have ruined it for genuine customers like you and me0 -

I guess you need to change the title of this thread to "No CD-WOW voucher for anyone even if you bought the magazine"0
