    Make sure you say London

Yes, Time Out is a magazine covering what's on and where in London and is widely available in the City but I am not sure if it is available elsewhere.

If you are asked where you bought it tell them from a news stand at one of the main railway stations, where it is sold.

    Regards,
    Art.

Maybe they don't have the staff at the weekend to deal with all these queries?

I dont know why you should need to make excuse. I am based in Belfast but fly back and forth between both UK and Europe frequently, there is piles of opportunity for someone like me to have read timeout even though we dont like in london

except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.

they got what they wanted.. lots of email addresses to spam mine included.. might just go and unsubscribe to them .

Nobody here has received spam. By signing up to CD WOW you were agreeing to be on their mailing list - thats why you are getting emails. CD WOW are not sending spam or unsolicited e-mails to anyone..

Still can't see why people are moaning - if your not a Time Out reader you don't qualify. Yes, I had a go, but I'm not angry or upset that I haven't got a voucher.

Of course CD-WOW would be trying to limit the amount of vouchers they're sending - probably due to mass abuse of the offer. I'd love to see how many people applied compared to how many people buy Time Out each month!
  • I've yet to get mine either (we're actually Time Out subscribers, althuogh I have no intention of proving that the cd-wow). I've just emailed cd-wow ... wonder what will happen.

I also mentioned that I was quite annoyed as on the front of Time Out is said "A free CD for every reader" (it might have even said "every single reader"). Yet at one per house hold that's simply not true ... maybe this should be pointed out to Time Out as well ...

For whatever reason (maybe lack of w/e staff) it appears that cd-wow are no longer replying to e-mails about this offer. OK, people are abusing the offer but I can't help think that overall the whole thing reflects badly on cd-wow - they should at least read and reply to e-mails, even if it's to say thanks for trying but you are unsuccessful. It also seems that the promotion they have going with the Mirror is gonna cause more problems - you have to provide 4 'unique' codes, yet the code printed in this mornings paper (which I actually bought) is exactly the same as the one listed on another thread on here. So again, thousands of people are going to apply who haven't bought the papers and lots of people (a lot genuine) will be disappointed. Perhaps they should just scrap the vouchers!

They have 75,000 free £5.00 vouchers to be claimed, so it's really a first come first served thing.....well first 75,000

That is an excellent point to make - particularly when you compare TOs readership figures to how many they actually sell.
