I was going to say this too but you beat me to it
Here's a list of the things you can have in the offer: http://www.brewersfayre.co.uk/food/ I can recommend the Smothered Chicken (normally £7.99 each but can get 2 for £9).
That is terrible - why dont they kill the chicken more humanely?0 -

Fat Leo's do a 3 course meal for about £7.00, it's very filling and homemade, mainly Italian. Obviously cheaper the less courses you have.
Wokmania charge £5.99 for all that you can eat, serve yourself to dozens of different Chinese style dishes, price even includes dessert. they also give 10% discount to senior citizens and students carrying a Student Union card.:T0 -

Talking of smothered chicken, I got this a couple of weeks ago at a pub that used to be part of the Sizzling group, found a snail in it :eek:0 -
The Holiday Inn on Wrexham Road in Chester is offering a £2.99 main course carvery every Thursday night, choice of starters at £1.99 and desserts at £1.99. Sunday they offer a 2 for 1 on lunch, buy a Starter & Main Course for £9.95 and get a second 2 course meal free!!!0

Red Dragon Chinese in Station Rd, Letchworth - eat as much as you can for E5.99 lunch or £9.99 evening meal. Includes all three courses, including Peking Duck, and the food is delicious and freshly cooked. Fantastic range of food and it was impossible to try everything as there was so much! Nice decor and furniture - not canteen like. Friendly, helpful staff.
The Toby in Stevenage - before 7pm carvery £5.00. Delicious freshly cooked food and lovely gravy.
Bird in the Hand pub in Gosmore. On a Monday they do 2 main meals for the price of 1 (average £8). All home cooked by the landlady. The homemade pies are delicious!
Stevenage Cafe in Stevenage Town Centre. Transport cafe style food (burgers, chips, fry up, etc) and a bit "spit and sawdust" but food delicious and same prices as McDonalds but you get waitress service and the food comes on a plate!0 -
S A Brains pubs in Wales have a 2 Can Dine for £7.99 and a Steak & Wine for £8.99 deals on at the moment. Plus they have a Coffee & a Cake deal for, I think, £3. The food's nice and the atmosphere's usually good too.
[and, no, I don't work for them!]If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!0 -
For those who live in Loughborough then the best value home cooked meal is The Three Nuns, just off Baxter Gate near to the Parish Church. Two meals for £7.00.This could be cod, chips and peas, liver, onions and mash, kievs and the best carved ham with salad or chips along with many other dishes on the menu.I have yet to finish the whole plate. The staff are lovely with Steve and Karen the landlords offering a welcoming atmosphere. The beers good too so I understand.

I love Tokyou in Liverpool on Berry St. It a chinese/japanese that is really cheap (cheaper than most takeaways) and a million times nicer. Food is fresh and not overcooked, and it's not just the brown gloop you get in a lot of takeaways. You can get free green tea to drink too. There is no bookings but you never have long to wait... even if you do it's worth it! Open lunchtime and evenings and we go there whenevr we can!

Bistro Jacques in Liverpool is brilliant - I absolutely adore it! They do a three course lunch for £7.95, and on Tuesdays you can get two courses plus a whole bottle of wine per person for £13.95. The menu changes every day and it's fresh and generous. Also, Rincon Latino do great Latin American food at about £4-5 a pop. The cocktails are pretty tasty too :-)Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0
