Can you confirm if Ebico will not charge extra for gas for customers under IGT arrangements, and why there is a rebate system for DD customers?

Anyway ECR, Can you confirm if Ebico will not charge extra for gas for customers under IGT arrangements, and why there is a rebate system for DD customers?

    Thanks,

I can confirm that there is no charge for customers at IGT sites, although switches at these address can take longer.

Currently we have to work within our partners (S&SE) billing system, which will automatically give a discount to those paying by Direct Debit. Up until now we've had to fiddle with the prices slightly so that when the discount is taken off, the correct tariff price is applied. However, this will be removed by the end of March and bills will come with the unit price correctly applied and no discounts given.

Following the reductions to the wholesale price of electricity and gas over the past few months, we're delighted to announce that, from the end of this month, the cost of both EquiGas and EquiPower will be reduced. EquiPower will be reduced by an average of 9% and EquiGas by 2.5%. This means that the average dual fuel customer will see bills reduced by 5.5%. The new EquiGas price is 3.675p/kWh (including VAT) and the new EquiPower prices http://www.ebico.co.uk/html/e_rates.php
  • Hello ECR, and thanks for participating so proactively with MSE forums. I've just posted the question separately (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1527339), but I'd appreciate your response. The price cuts are great, but I note that they're not effective immediately and will only come into play "at the end of this month". Does that mean that Ebico customers expecting the heftiest heating bill of the year between now and the end of March (including our household) won't feel the benefit of your price cuts just when we need it the most?

    Thanks for your time.

I don't understand why the price reductions are so low. :-s

2.5 % reduction when you increased gas by over 31% in September.

    This is totally shameful.
