Welcome Ebico, you have a good name on here.
No doubt you will now get every complaint under the sun.
Nice to see an ethical company operating a simple billing system in the midst of so many 'creative' tariffs from your competitors.

Out of interest are you from Ebico or SSE who do the customer service for Ebico?

    Ebico,welcome to the boards.

I have been with them for a couple of years now and I`m happy enough, simple straight-forward billing and no gimmicks.

With the recent price reduction annouced by SSE,will Ebico be passing on the same?

There used to be a regular news letter on the Ebico site that no longer appears, also I'd echo the query regarding the reduction of the gas prices.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Welcome,
    A couple of questions please.

    1. The simplicity of Ebico tariffs is much appreciated on this board.
However can you explain why your gas tariff has usually been pretty competitive, particularly for those with low consumption, yet your electricity prices are not competitive?

    2. As a 'not for profit' company, could you give a layman's guide(or even a complex guide) of the company's financial structure. e.g. Director's salaries, where do surpluses go etc etc

    Hello darkness my old friend.................................................
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • i would like to know when ebico are going to reduce gas as well
  • LOL @ Cardew's 'interrogation'. I'm not convinced those were the sort of 'issues' the rep had in mind. Could be an interesting thread all the same. :p

PS Following on from Cardew's questions, as an 'ethical' company, is it your policy to re-direct people with usage patterns that would make it much cheaper for them to be elsewhere?
    Call me Carmine....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

The reasons are clear (that is, the answer to Cardew's first question is self-evident).

Ah, the great 'friend' of passive customers Carmine (who regularly advises MSers to 'trouser' £250 per year from the vulnerable he feels such crocodile compassion for*) pounces and suggests that prices should be further pushed up by directing customers away. There is no pleasing Carmine. A hatred of Marks & Spencer, a hatred of Primark. A hatred of nPower, a hatred of Ebico. There is no model of business that Carmine finds acceptable.

(* Yes, I know what you're all thinking. But the difference is I cheer and celebrate when companies like British Gas withdraw from the cashback carousel.)
