All went well although it is a 'work in progress'. The wobbly teeth came out fine and the remaining bit. New plate in but I have to go back on Wed for proper fitting so eating still tricky and talking not right - which for me is a real problem :rotfl:
However I felt very tired when I got home so went under the duvet for a couple of hours then watched the news and had a cupasoup.
Had very quick read through so hugs to those in pain and congrats to the successful flyers.0 -

awh what did he have to go and busrt your bubble for!!!!!!!! it was a nice dream!LOL!!
I'm feeling much better today thanks Toots. Still slightly snotty but that's all. What was good (? In a perverse way) was that my boss came in this morning and then went home after a couple of hours. Seems he has man flu!
And I'll do the reading on the SC. WRT the extra cooking and freezing, I'm funny like that. I only, really, like to freeze raw ingredients or the occasional veg soup (e.g. leek and potato). I always think it takes just as long to cook from frozen/defrosted than it does from fresh. And I've never been really sure of microwaves. I use mine mainly for defrosting stuff, softening butter and doing cheese on toast! (It has a grill action too)
Crafty - glad things went OK in the end. And you rest up. I understand the dentist trauma!gunsandbanjos wrote: »Soappie i hope you asked DS to run the hoover over LR etc 'while he had it out';)
Funnily enough, he came through just now and said
'look at this Mum, it's my graphics card'.
'Wow' I replied
I think that was the correct answer - I'm a software engineer after all, not a hardware one!
I did mention to him that as he had the Dyson out and was deep cleaning his computer, he might just like to run it over the living room carpet...
I got a Look and he disappeared back from whence he'd come.... :rotfl:
Some dusting has been done in the LR, the BM is on and some laundry hung up on an airer to dry.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I've done a bit of flying today - not enough for a star but I am quite pleased with what I have done. I didn't sleep at all last night - I would have been better off downstairs doing something useful.
But the electricals are dust free, the sofa has a few cleaner looking patches - trouble is it is 10 years old and the German Shepherd sleeps on it so it'll never look clean again.(It was also lemon coloured once so that doesn't help.:rotfl: )
Will hoover in the morning when I'm getting ready for the Sky techie to arrive.
Took OH's car for a service this morning, £202 cos it needed a tyre as well but it also needs other things doing urgently - £717 on top, I think a bit of belt tightening is in order:eek: Hopefully I'll be able to spread the cost on an interest free credit card.
Hugs to all that need them, I hope all those with aches and pains feel better tomorrow.0 -
just watching the watchdog supermarket thing (results here)...I could've predicted all the things they said! My plan is to try an online Mr A shop next time, I've always used Mr T in the past, though I used to occasionally pop into Mr A when I lived where Soappie does and there was such an abundance of supermarkets.
crafty - hope the dentist went ok in the end
natty - i agree, go to the Drs. these things are not worth risking!
OJK - nice to see you posting
sexy - vibes coming your way
soappie - our elec usage was a lot higher recently too - thought like you that it must be the oven as we don't have a TD. Know what you mean about freezing but I tend do double up on things like spag bol, fish pie & lasagne and I certainly think it saves some prep time if not actually cooking time.
i only remember daily lists too and I've been here almost (but not quite) as long as Nicki!
Right - I need to go and clear out a drawer (none in the LR or hallway), wash up make a cuppa, fold the laundry and perhaps start the kitchen list (though I'm at home in the morning so I could do it then). Back soon to update.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Hi everyone. Life is not being that kind to me at the moment and returning to work today did not help! Feel really snowed down by it all and there's 6 weeks to go until the Easter hols. Have decided that maybe getting down to some old fashioned housework after Corrie might take my mind off things so my aim is to do as much of the list as I can:
Wash and dry up
Make tomorrow's packed lunch
Put a load of washing on
