fedupansdskint baby wipes are meant to be good for leather furniture- I use them on upholstered things quite a lot - but apparently saddle soap is the best thing - hugs for the old wooftoots xx

Thanks for the tip, got some baby wipes in Mr S (all half price until tomorrow) and went over the chair and sofa with them.

Seem ok, weren't too dirty anyway and have had a clean wipe over now.

Then fell upstairs just as whiplash felt better at last and now made it feel ten times worse! Hoping I've not broken my big toe also.

thats excellent natty - far better to be safe than sorry! please keep us posted!
wilf - good to see you back again - so now you can get your DD's old room sorted out that will help -dont let it just become a dumping ground - you need the space!!!!! you are probably suffering from the after effects of helping DD get sorted out and decorating her place - start with sorting out the stuff on the floor and declutter it or find homes for it.
egon hope ds3 is ok when he has calmed down - must be having a bad monday - a bit like the rest of us!LOL

just having my lunch then it will be the LR

  • embb OMG that sounds really yeucchy! well done you for geting stuck into it and the council for dealing with it so quickly - thats great.
hex yes birthday irl tomorrow - go and do something - even if its a walk round a garden or garden centre - you love the garden things and not spending your birthday at home thinking about what you should be doing!!! Do you have a friend or relative you can go out with?
fedupandskint hugs - have a soak in the bath and see if that helps.
wilf very well done - thats a good job out of the way - be proud of what you have achieved today.
I am doing what I am not meant to be - moving the furniture around - oooooh lots of dust bunnies! will pay for it later I suspect but I wanted to try the LR arranged differently.

    toots xx

ETA have you seen Martin's birthday banner at the top of the page - I hadn't realise the site had been going 6 years!!!
    Peace will be mine

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.
  • I'm not doing any more today cos am absolutely worn out and have a terrible sore throat and have to go out later. But...DH came home and I said: "I've worked hard today," and he said: "I know, I hardly recognized the place!" So I am happy! He noticed that he didn't have to wade through 3ft deep stuff all over the LR floor! Hopefuly tmrw I will be able to hoover tmrw, and my STR worker is coming to take me for a walk so that'll be good.

Had some good news today - I've got a trial day on Friday at the school that I wasn't sure would take an NQT and if I get it, I'd be starting pretty soon, and the position is til the end of the summer term in a Year 2 class (6-7 year-olds). There are 3 others from my agency going for trial days Tues - Thursday (2 NQTs who haven't done anything yet since finishing uni in July and one other NQT who has done 2 terms like me). If I did get this job, it's a lovely school who had a fantastic Ofsted recently, plus I'd get paid over the summer holidays! :T Thanks for the flylady vibes, I think they're working - keep them going on Friday for me please.
