I thought it was Triker going to whitby...
Yes, you're right. Triker is in Whitby. Just had a look back, Mudders had a party to go to on Friday night. Haven't looked at yesterday cos DH wants the laptop, so I'm going to do some knitting.
    See you all later

Flying wise I've not done much today apart from doing the food shopping. I left OH instructions to tidy up the hallway and a couple of boxes that were in the way in case TF came over after lunch (they didn't) and although some of the stuff has just been moved somewhere else into one large hotspot, at least it's out of the way in some of the other rooms. Lunch was nice but the service was apalling - we went in at 1pm and didn't leave til 3pm, and that was only because we actually got up and demanded to pay the bill (I think if we'd just walked out they wouldn't have noticed but we're all too honest to do that, but needless to say, they got no tips).

I need to do the bedroom list now, so I'll join you for that HHC at 7pm Jo.

I'm super tired today cos I keep having nightmares and waking up throughout the night, so will be having an early night tonight. So far I have nothing booked in work-wise tomorrow, so hoping I get a day off, as I need one after last week!

Right, off I go to find all the flying tools.

Greenbee - I've been thinking all weekend about your work colleague issue & totally understand where you are coming from, you have to work with this guy & for all we know he is probably wishing that he'd never sent the message & will be very embarassed tomorrow when he see's you. I think your right if you can treat it light heartedly it may be more comfortable for both of you. I think your idea about lent is good, could you say, 'I would really appreciate the information but unfortunately I won't be able to take you up on the offer of the drink because as you know I have given up alcohol for lent & would not be good company without alcohol. As an alternative I would offer you a bar of chocolate but as I have also given chocolate up for lent would an apple be acceptable?'
Let me know how you get on. Good Luck :grouphug:

Can you all tell I'm out of practice :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've just got a reply to the flippant response I sent back about the information being held to ransom, locked up and fed on bread and water... "yes...." so I'm now stuck for the next move... Maybe I should ask what's next... is he going to cut it's fingers off and send them to me through the post?!

I'm completely mystified by the whole thing... to be fair, most of the men at work are scared of me :D and the ones I do meet outside work are usually taken (and it's not like I go out much). And I don't see that I'm a great catch... workaholic, spend my spare time on yoga and housework, have very peculiar eating habits, and like do my own thing and being on my own (mind you, no one at work knows anything about be apart from what they see... me being a disorganised neurotic drama queen :p with a shoe habit ... or what's available on the internet)

Oh well, it'll keep me entertained for a bit... and probably you lot too, seeing as I need the help to get some perspective on it!

Dusty - I noticed Venus by the moon last night when I went out to the bins. You're right, it's quite fantastic! And hugs about the PC virus
Toots - everyone can manage the lemon chicken recipe - it's almost foolproof!
JulieJim - get yourself some grandma knickers and go as Bridget Jones... :rotfl:
Lil-me - thanks for the lego city pictures :D I'm so glad they've enjoyed it. And that it's taken them time to do - instead of being done and dusted on boxing day. Santa Soappie has a nice, heart warmed smile on her face

Had a lovely afternoon. Me and the dog went off to where the rich people live and traipsed a couple of graveyards and walked a few streets and took some photos. Boy how the other half live!

Got back and DD was here so it's been nice to have her company. Seems she may be able to pick up the keys to her new flat on Tuesday night. She was delighted with the big basket of stuff I sorted out for her. 'Mother, that's so random, it's wonderful!' she said.

I'd put in all sorts - the saucepans, some kitchen utensils, a bottle fairy liquid, a couple of heads of garlic, a couple of pan scourers etc. etc. I'd bought her a pepper and salt mill so of course there's a pack of pepper corns and rock salt in there too.And of course next to it's the things that you flyladies have been very kind in donating too. She's now getting quite excited about it all.

But, need to go and sort out this roast dinner...

well done holly - its not too late!!!! be fair to yourself now - you have just started on your new job and routines have gone pear shaped - I agree that trying to do level 1 each day would be a good idea and that way you wont use up all your weekend catching up.
