Well I've hit a snag with the HHC - OH assured me that the TD had completely dried the sheets this time around, and I've just unravelled them all to find that half the load is extremely damp, so I've just gone out in the dark with a torch and have taken them all back to the TD to finish them off properly! Little black furry is very pleased as he was nicely curled up on the bed when I dared to turn the light on! lol. Have taken off the dirty pillowcases and have put one dry set on, but the rest will have to wait!

Think I'll go and make a cup of tea now then and wait 30 mins til the sheets are done. I fancy an online jigsaw puzzle.

Toots - He's a little monkey but I can't imagine life without him! He's a complete timewaster though - seem to spend my day just grinning at him! It must be catching as he was grinning back at 3 weeks old!! However, life seems to have been put on hold so now normal service has to be resumed! I don't know how long our washing machine is going to put up with the additional use!

Have I missed much? If anyone wants to post a rundown of interesting news from the last 6 weeks then that'd be fab!! :)

Just heard from my mum that one of my ex-pupils died last week - she was 21 and had a much longer life than expected but it's still a shock.

Am also upset because none of my friends from my old school had let me know - only heard because mum bumped into someone who works there.

Thoughts and prayers for her family would be appreciated - thanks.

  • hello everyone, not been aroun since monday as have had a maaaaaaaad week. Dh has been to and fro to the hospital and dr and i have been madly working hard to get both an essay finished and a presentation prepared - both done now and presented/handed in so breathe!

Needless to say very little flying - however, i have kept on top of things a little and did wash my bedding today after looking at pigpen's friday list as a catch up.

Right off to get the ironing done! see you all on the other thread tomorrow,

    night night

    Hi folks

Back from my trip to my home village.

Plants planted at my mother's grave, weeds removed etc

Step mother sorted out, in theory!! although she did introduce me to someone as her daughter in law!!!

I still think she has the quantities of food and drink wrong, ie she is short but she wont even listen to my or my father's concerns, so little I can do, except get ready to make sandwiches! 150 people at a 75th birthday and the wrong amounts of either is going to be a night mare!!!

She want me to do a collauge of family photos which I will enjoy doing.

I have done the ironing and very little else.

I hope you are all ok.

I have 40 odd pages of this thread to read, so I think I will only get about half done.

Hugs to those that need them

    Best wishes

Frodders - hugs, thoughts and prayers being sent. How sad. But how nice that she had a lot longer life than expected. That's the positive thing to latch on to.

soappie its ITS MAYBE NOT TOOTSPROOF!!!!

Toots - it's even Toots proof as long as you don't leave the pan unattended, you make sure you don't have the pan heat too high (so that the butter burns but high enough to cook the chicken through) and the chicken has no pink bits left inside before you squeeze on the lemon! xx

I hit a snag too - spent much longer in the shower than i meant to - was so lovely standing under the hot water running all the muck and stress of the day away!! Filled the bathroom entirely with steam, which is really bad, but i love it!!

Decluttered nmy legs, which were gross to be honest and am freshly pyjama'd up! Just going to finish drying my hair and then face the ironing..... x
