Just thought I would post on this one.

I have been very very lucky.

I to thought this was a credit card and to be honest when you are desperate you just dont think about scams.

I applied and like a fool gave out details to immediately be taken to a page where I have been accepted and which stated they would take 79.99 from my account.

Again, luckily there was nothing in my account. I immediately sent an email to ecredit stating I do not want the card and to cancel. Next I rang my bank and reported my card stolen along with passport etc.

My wages were due in in the morning and no money taken which I believe is due to the fact that I contacted the bank. I also checked my emails and lo and behold have received one from ecredit saying that they have cancelled my card and application.

I hope my post helps someone and I know that I was fortunate to have had no money in my account at the time of application because if I had 79.99 would immediately have disappearead.

I hope other people dont fall for this scam and maybe I hope I have helped someone.

If only i had come here first I was busy playing around with it then it approved me then in small print 99.95 shall be taken from you account! I was furious but theyre lines are constantly busy and with in half an hour they had taken the money from my account! no I await to speak to them and hopefully get all my money back! :(

    STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I too fell for this. Never again. I rang them and they gave me a cancellation number, the money was returned within 5 days back in to my bank account no problem.
  • In fairness I would say that it COULD work out for some people, it's like most of these things really, you have to work out what's best and most suitable for your kind of loan needs but that said the main rip off with this 'E Platinum Card' is as many have said here, it is being advertised as a "Credit Card", this is of course rubbish, it's not at all a Credit Card, the company should not be allowed to mislead people into thinking that is what it is, they should make it clear from the start it's a STORE Card, they don't need to deceive people, there are many who would still be happy to apply knowing what it actually is and I am one who would have done because I can see the potential benefit but what I don't like is being lied to and treated like an idiot and that is what they are doing to their potential customers so I won't be bothering with this either.

I CBA to read 3 pages of this BS, but if it's about a CPA, there were some changes since 2011-2012:
Continuous payment authority: manage recurring payments

If you have been conned tell your bank and initiate a charge back

I don't think that chargeback protection covers 'conned'.
