My friend has also been stung - we, however are still within the 14 day UK mandatory cooling off period. I'm hoping he's not going to be charged the £14 application fee. The T&C are very weird! Please help! I have sent the letter via recorded delivery and copied the FSA in on this.0 -
This is the same dodgy firm that has somehow taken money from us via credit card also. But we can swear on our daughters life we never signed up for anything like this or anything do do with direct debiting via a credit card.
But what bothers me in there t&c is there is something about if any details are taken that you did'nt authorise and money taken then it's of no responsability of there's as it must be a third party acting as an agent who fraudulently took or obtained your details. And that they take no responsability for any monies taken as that any such fraud case must be taken up with the third party company in question and not them.
To have this firm stating such info in the t&c pretty much confirms they know that infomation is somehow being obtained or stolen fraudulently. But they don't care or wont deal with it even though it's them who have the money.
Anyone know how long it should take Lloyds TSB or Mastercard to investigate fraudulent cases like this?. As it's been near 3 weeks for us now and when phoning today they could'nt tell us anything claiming it might take another 6-8 weeks before they can tell us anything!.
We refuse to contact the E-Credit company or get into dialogue with them. And neither will we cancel any non existant contract with them or accept any reduced fee back to cover "early termination" or whatever the charge is. No we want the money back off Mastercard as it's fraud and they can use there clout to get there money back off this firm.0 -

Warning E Platinum have just taken £150.00 out of my account without my authorisation and attempt to get the same amount on going daily.I've managed to close my account and debit card so No More Theft takes place.Ive tracked their offices down in Oxford and have reported them to Trading Standards and Police.Luckily i have a lead on where one of the directors home address, so i'll be knocking on this door.I will publish his address to all people conned by this firm so maybe he'll think twice when he has to pay back thousands to good honest people he's stolen from .I will not rest until these crooks are brought to justice !!!0

Knocking on his door will for sure earn you a trip down to the local police station for trespassing. I doubt he'd care if you gave his address out.
They aren't crooks and what they are doing is perfectly legal. What you've failed to do was read the terms and conditions before handing your bank details over the internet. If you're willing to to hand over your details to any old company and any website you come across, you should face the consequences.
All charges are clearly stated in the terms and conditions, which you have automatically agreed to upon signing up with E-Platinum. What these "crooks" need is justice from customers like yourself who are too plainly stupid to read terms and conditions and research the company you are handing your details over to.
Good luck with your "lead", by the way. LOL.We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
