Knocking on his door will for sure earn you a trip down to the local police station for trespassing. I doubt he'd care if you gave his address out.

Just to nit pick SF, trespass is not a criminal offence so a trip to the local nick is unlikely unless you make trouble or throw his shonky cards and over priced goods at his house.

I could camp in your garden and the police can ask me to leave but if I refuse and make no trouble, you'd have to go to court and evict me :rotfl:

Still 5000 free credit sounds excellent, where do I sign?

    Interesting.

They'll no doubt find something to arrest him on.. the police use breach of the peace for almost anything these days. :j

I may open a company just like E-Platinum. I could offer customers a £20k credit limit, no interest, no credit checks with a membership fee of £200 per annum. For the shopping club part, I could purchase goods from a cheaper retailer and re-sell them with a £2000 markup. If they cancel, no worries.. they'll get a refund of their membership fee minus £150 to cover administration costs.

With the amount of people falling for E-Platinum, I'd be rich in a matter of weeks. Ohhh ever so tempting. All I'd need is a website and a consumer credit licence which I don't think would be too expensive.

The police normally just provoke people into a reaction so they can clear them from the property.

Just cutting up the card will necessarily stop the charges. The terms even mention a £9.99 a month inactivity fee. You need to cancel it specifically.
Many people assume that just because they PAY something monthly then the contract is a monthly one. Usually if you cancel the monthly payments you are still liable for the contract period you originally signed up for (usually 12 months but often 18 or 24 with mobile phones).

  • I was very close to completing the application for this card, but I got a sudden thought that this was to good to be true. The application page is shocking, it asks for your debit card information, but doesn't tell you what its for! The front page lets you believe it is a credit card. I cannot believe it is actually allowed.:mad::mad:

It really is an awful money making scheme, aimed at people with bad credit scores. Basically it costs you £80.00 to join, followed by a monthly fee and then you do not get a credit card, you get an allowance to spend on their limited online catalogue that will undoubtedly be over priced and will not help your credit score at all. I can only imagine the poor people they manage to con around Xmas when they are desperate to buy their kids presents.

Disgusting con artists, no better than loan sharks in my eyes !
